...then why do they allow the plethora of POCOs, player-owned structures, and whatever else to exist in their space? Do all of these things exist with CODE's blessing? Does CODE enforce a tribute payment system (a tax) in order to place and operate structures in their space?
I'm actually not [necessarily] bashing CODE here. I'm not a miner, and I've never lost anything to CODE to my knowledge. I'm simply saying, you don't truly 'own' highsec... unless and until you actually, well, 'own' it. So if structures and whatever else exist in highsec without your blessing, I would say to CODE - 'get to work.' Start enforcing your will. Back up your claims of highsec ownership. Then my hat will be off to you. Otherwise... not so much.
I have no idea whether this question has been posted on the forums or not. But I personally haven't seen it. It's a question that popped into my head is all. |

Have you read the actual code? I do not see why POCOs would be in violation of the code, and if they are not in violation of the code, why would CODE. not allow them? CODE. are a very lawful bunch. |

Attacking player-owned structures requires a wardec. Which costs money. CODE is cheap.

Yeah, but giving River Phoenix another day in the sun? Worth it. Running on Empty was great. My own Private Idaho, for all the dissent, at the time, was great. Working with Harrison Ford on Mosquito Coast was pretty good, too.
I liked how that movie ended, the peacemaker, dying for nothing. You always remember them. Aleka's Attic was not too terrible a band, either. His brother, Joaquin, is not so wonderful. He's not a Vegan, not religious, does not even try to do the right thing. The father's ranch in Costa Rica? River bought it. He died at Johnny Depp's Viper Club on Halloween about 20 years ago.
Probably from a spiked drink. But whatever, of course that got, let's say, 'clouded,' at investigation. |

For the same reason that some wormholes have POCOs from other corps in them. They simply don't care.

Seems strange that an owner of space would not charge for using that space. How many null sec corps or alliances allow people to squat in their space? You either control a space, or you don't, right? |

About once a week, someone in CODE will decide the attention-o-meter is getting on the empty side, and they'll make a thread talking about CODE, and about a billion dumbasses will run up in it, all tripping all over themselves to talk about how uninterested in CODE they are.
I wish CODE would stop, but that probably won't happen until CCP declares CODE threads like AFK Cloaker threads. More than enough examples of how this entire thread will play out are available to be searched on the forms. At some point, it is okay to stop having the same conversation over and over and over again. |

CODE is not materialistic. The reason that miners have such a hard time understanding them is because they can only think in terms of maximum isk efficiency, whereas CODE does not outwardly think in terms of how much isk they can make.
Also, to more directly answer the question: because running a PI farm is far more interactive than mining, so is probably allowed by the CODE. autopiloting your PI back to Jita however... |

Blood. Blood makes the green grass grow. :) In the military, we preferred that it be our enemies, but ours works, too. Unicorn blood is only sufficient to clone Morgan Freeman. Or is it tears?

Simple really, a lot of the hisec POCO's are owned by alt corps of war dec alliances, CODE does not have the ability to attack them, they would get utterly smashed. So all CODE does is gank poorly tanked mining ships mostly flown by low SP characters or new players and state rather grandly that they own hisec. It is meaningless twaddle... |

Perhaps the OP, or one of the very helpful forum posters who always reassure each of us how the New Order of Highsec (not just the CODE. alliance) is dying, dead or never really existed, will point out where POCOs violate the Code.
We enforce the New Halaima Code of Conduct. To do that, we had to take control of all of highsec. Once we did that we just continue to enforce the Code. Nothing could be simpler. Why complicate basic governance with such questions?
Highsec is worth fighting for.
By choosing to mine in New Order systems, highsec miners have agreed to follow the New Halaima Code of Conduct.-á www.minerbumping.com
