Hey, I am about to do this mission for the first time, I heard many stories about it. Therefore I am really concerned about being or not being able to complete it. I am going to use the following setup
His
3x 250 dual rails 2x 250 proto rails 1x smart bomb (for scrambler frigates)
mids
all cap recharger t2
low
2 lar t2 1 damage control 4x rat hardner
My setup can hold forever both lars turned on, my main concerned is about
-Damage type for my drones -Room aggro -general hints
Thanks in advance

Well the last time I ran this was at least 2 mos ago so it may have changed, but on the gurista side when you warp into the second room, about 1/3 of the ships aggro you with the frigs in the 1-10k range, using drones or a SB will almost always aggro the whole room and you will die. Best I've found was to setup for max tank and use assault launcher2s (they didn't have heavy assaults yet,and it may also be an option) on the frigs and don't shoot at anything that doesn't already have aggro on you first. Non aggrod ships will be mixed in with the close aggroed ones, warp out and refit with normal missioning setup and finish the mission.

Hmm flying a Dominix?
Room 1: 2 groups, Serpentis and Guristas. Release drones you will get aggro from Guristas. You get initial aggro from serpentis group. Easy room.
Guristas room: 3 groups. First group consist of Dread Battleships and Dire cruisers with HAC resistance lvl's. I have never used drones to kill the webber rats, but I never intend to do. Getting a full room aggro is certain death. Plus using a smartbomb is also certain death. In that room there is also 2 frigates named Spy. Some say, shooting those will also aggro the whole room.
Serpentis room: Once the serpentis battleships get into optimal they hit hard, dunno if you can release drone safely in that room. But full room aggro is certain death. 2 Angel webbers, dunno if you will aggro whole room if you shoot at those.
Last room is a cakewalk. Mostly battleships.
And yeah I use the "I win Raven". So easy for me + I have a nice expensive tank. T2 all the way plus deadspace fitting. --- It have always fallen to a few to sacrifice for the good of many

Ok, some observations, my setup worked quite well
I needed to run on the second lvl, jut because I used the SB, if I didnt I would be able to finish the mission without running. Dont know if it was a bug, but I released my drones on serpentis base lvl and got no aggro.
Next time I am going to try the guristas base,
Nice mission. now to the loot

The Guristas Base is harder then the Serpentis Base, but gives alot more ISK in bounties. The thing with the Worlds Collide missions is that you'll get room aggro in just about any drone ship. In the Serpentis Base there are these two "angel spy" ships, in the Guristas Base there is similarly two "guristas spy" ships, if anyone (even drones) enganges these ships the room turns aggro. Sometimes you're lucky with the drones and the room stops shooting after you pull em in, other times the room turns on you.
It's really not the best boat to fly on this particular mission with these drone-fires-once-on-ship-causes-room-aggro triggers.

Correct, in the Serpentis base, avoid the spy at all costs. It's simple enough.
For the 1st room I generally fly away from the serpentis and go straight for the guristas. That way I can take out most of the Gurista before the serp get into range.
Last room is easy enough.
How do the dual 250s work for you ? I'm not sure they are a lot better than 250s and thats even with BS5 25% bonus. 250mms work better on frigs and cruisers. dual 250s most often miss anything smaller than a BC.
Anyway I might try it with 3 of each and run it through the combat log analyser.

It is correct that in gurista stage engaging spy ships gets you aggro, but in serpentis stage I have been able to kill those angel spies quite freely without full agro. Then again I use Raven. In any case those spies engage you right away in serp stage and web you down to merry 10 m/s. I'm not that patient to wade with that speed 30 km to next gate.
