Hello:
So, my SSD decided to quit for good :(
Okay, then Im not on 16.04 (64bit ofc), I downloaded the launcher, executed it fine, it downloaded them files and then I added the accounts, and when I hit the 'play' button... it lights green, shows the 'stop' but it gets stuck there, nothing else, nothing actively downloading....
Only thing different I can remember not doing this time is the wine installation, I thought the script was going to take care of that.... do I have to install wine anyways or is something else that is going on....
(the system monitor shows zero activity on all 4 cores (or minimal, whereas normally Id be in the 35-40% range running a client).
Clicking in stop icon does nothing neither, but doesnt seem like the launcher is frozen, as I can get in the settings and such.
Any ideas?
Ubuntu Mate 15.04 64bit // Amd A8-5600K with IGP Trinity 7650D // 6GB DDR3 // Sandisk 120GB SSD Plus //
Wine 1.7.50 // Native Linux Launcher // TS3 working // Happy to be back in Ubuntu :)

I noticed another thread with similar issue Im having, did the recommended install
sudo apt-get install libldap-2.4.2:i386
but it keeps not doing a thing.
Started the loglite and I noticed that theres something about my chipset "Trinity" apparently is not loading, now... I have done a restart already and updated everything after original install, and Im yet to see the Gallium driver as working (as it used to in 15.04).
The only thing I see in additional drivers is something about AMD Microcode, and recommends not to put it, so I didnt.

After some fiddling around and googling.... seems that they decided to drop support for my APU on 16.04.2 :( Therefore thats why I dont have the option to load neither the default gallium nor the propietary.
I guess that means back to 15.04...

nop.. Keep gallium, install gallium and wine with nine support (native d3d9), you will get twice the performance than the crappy proprietary ****. You can also install RADV support with gallium if you want Vulkan support that the Proprietary crap was not providing you anyway.
AMD dropped support because Gallium is mature, OpenGL 4.5 compliant and work just better. |

Back in 15.04 and Gallium is up again, but no joy, I still get same error message ;(
General bluepy.Terminate - Reason: Failed to import trinity DLL (ImportError('No module named _trinity_stub_deploy',))
I will try later and install the regular wine. Originally that was the first thing I did since we didnt had the native installer..... but for now Im tired and exhausted, I'll try again later tonite.
Thanks Ravow for your help.

If you want to use Gallium, you should have recent version of the drivers stack. I more recent distribution might be a better option. Unlike proprietary driver (who dont like new kernel/X), Open drivers are better using the very last version of everything.
Also, Can you do : glxinfo | grep OpenGL and post it there, just to be sure that you actually have proper working 3D accel. |

Running Ubuntu Gnome-flavour 16.04 LTS ( long term sexy, dammit! )
Installed:
sudo apt-get install libldap-2.4.2:i386
sudo apt-get install wine
Used Gnome-panel to create the Launcher.
Seems fine so far :) |
