What kind of ratio do people go for when converting LP to isk?
Which offers get you the best isk for your LP?

My last oportunity was to convert 1000 lp¦s for 1million isk.
I think that it is to low, therefore I rejected the offer (was an 15 miilion implant offer of 15.000 lps)
Dunno, how much is aceptable.

Actually 1000 per LP is an okay rate atm. It used to be 3000, but then CCP screwed up the offer table, screwed up storyline missions and screwed up 0.0 COSMOS agents, resulting in a huge flood of +3, +4 and +5 implants, and consequently a steep drop in implant and thus LP value over the past 15 months.
At lower LP levels, there are the skillbook offers at 15K which will net you 3000 per LP and more still, but those are very rare. And I guess at high level there are faction battleships that will net you more (the faction cruisers and frigs are not worth it either). But for the common offers, 1000 per LP is fine atm regrettably. --------- There is no 'n' in turret There is no 'r' in faction There is no 'a' in Kestrel There is no 'e' in Caldari

The other thing to consider is whether it is worth it to continue using that agent. At some point it makes more sense to "cash out" your LPs and focus on a new agent. For example, I got my Level 1 agent up to around 4000 LPs before I was ready to move to a Level 2 agent. At that point, the Level 1 agent offered to build me an Ares (Interceptor) for my LPs plus some materials. I cannot fly the ship, but I can sell it. So, I gathered the materials, sold the ship and made 4 million ISK in pure profit. I just did this again with a Level 3 agent that I don't want to use anymore. The LP:ISK ration may not be the best, but this will allow me to focus all my time building up LPs with a better agent.
Interestingly, the best LP:ISK ration came from a "remainder" offer. I had a couple hundred LPs left with my Level 1 agent. She offered me a lot of some item ( maybe silicate glass? maybe something else? Whatever it was, it was bulky and expensive). Just curious, I checked the market for it and found a buy order in my home system that was ridiculously high. I then took her offer, then bought as much as I could for cheap, filled up a couple of Iterons and flew it all over. I ended up making close to 10 million in profit off the initial 400 LPs.

This is a good point, at least some of the time. However a lot of people are hoping to be able to cash out these LPs in mass on a corp-wide basis with Revelations 2, hopefully with revamped LP offers in a store format.
When and if that happens, it'll be very interesting to see the effects on the LP market. * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Does this mean I shouldn't be accepting any offers for the time being? Except maybe a faction battleship?

No, it means you've appraisals to make. How badly do you need isk now? How much would you like to change agents? How likely are these features to make it into the game, and when? Is it possible you'll actually be worse off saving LPs as everybody and their grandmother cashes in their saved up totals?
The only advice I can really give is that unless you're really hard up for isk, or just on the verge of being able to buy something critical, making a few million extra in the short term is pretty much peanuts. * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Edited by: Mr Friendly on 05/05/2007 05:58:19 A while back, 2000 isk/LP was the base I would accept. Because of the markey gluts from all the mission runners, 1000 is now my benchmark, unless I really want what's being offered, and would have to jump for 30 mins or an hour to get it, otherwise.
+3 implant offers are really the best offer (read: commonly offered and lucrative), unless you get a connections offer or a faction BS offer.
edit: oh and regarding the LP store stuff... it'll be a long time coming so don't let that stop you making some isk now. I doubt we'll be able to buy 10 faction BS's, even if we have a gazillion LP (tho hopefully I'm wrong )

Skillbooks are very good offer (~3000 isk / LP) but rare and if you are running lev 4 missions then it's not viable to fish them. On lev 4 missions it's erither +3 implants (offered up to approx 120 k LP, if 240 k offer for x16 implants exists then its very rare) giving you approx 1000 isk / LP or CNR offer (rare) whitch used to give you 1200 isk / LP but is also sinking towards 1000 isk/LP line.
A while ago (approx 6 months) I noticed some dev station that intended isk/LP relation is 1000 isk / LP. So if it's still so then they have managed it quite nice. It was back when +3 implants still cost approx 35 mil each.

Just to let you know, faction BS's aren't the cash cow either. 500k LP and 200 mil isk for a one - run blueprint, translates to soething like 800 mil isk for the build ship with a ratio of 1000isk/lp.

I take nothing less than 1 million isk/1000lp. And that's ONLY if it's something I need because I've been podded or something... :)
Otherwise, I try for 3 million/1000lp.
