Good to see a minimum of flaming atm. This is a hard one for me. I am intentionally omitting my own alliance from consideration.
1. BoB - Maybe this war will prove me wrong on this, in the end, but damn, these guys are slick.
2. Goons - There's something to be said for a blob that size. I may not like them, but credit where it's due, tbh.
3. RA/AAA - Agree with the earlier poster who says only a fool differentiates the two any more.
The next few are alliances that I think people should keep an eye on, as they have shone serious stones and tenacity:
Morsus Mihi. Mad respect. These guys bring it and bring it hard. Now getting supercaps.
Triumvirate. Woke up and started playing for real after the nano nerf IMO. These guys are for real.
FLA. You guys have put up more of a fight than D2, day-to-day. Never let anyone take that away, no matter how this ends for you.

2. GoonSwarm - As soon as they get a cap fleet they get the #1 spot, and BoB plays second fiddle

Most powerful - BOB, "The rest" (see everyone else's posts for diversity on "the Rest")
For competency i'm going to be slightly different and say
MC - for their size they punch SO far above their weight, organisation and ability combined into deadly effect.
IRON - Pure Grit
Triumvirate - Small pirate outfit to kick arse pvp alliance in record time.
Based on personal experience the above all fight a damn good fight - and as it seems to be a given that BoB wins I'd like to give the honours to someone else just to be different.
Just my opinion blah blah.

Besides, given RA's plex whorage, it's not like they don't have a few (hundred) billion isk extra they could've used to buy MC which would have likely had a very significant impact on the war, which seems to have slowed down, which sucks because I was reading the war progress during slow work days.

1. the alliance who has the time and will to fight prolonged powerpoint frame wars and a leadership which spends more time in eve than actually sleeping in order guide their ppl.
2. the alliance which has #1 as a friend
3. the alliance who are totally ze russians 
#1 is not meant to be any entity. this isnt a flame but my sight on things and why eve terretorial combat is so horribly annoying comparing the time investment and the actual fun u have. imo its not worth fighting in big alliance battles unless eve and your alliance's rank in this universe is extremely important to you.
military strenght is nothing compared to the funfactor an alliance delivers. if theres no fun theres no beef for me in it.

as far as i know mc arent real mercenaries anymore. they will not take on any contracts from anyone opposing their allies thus making em an alliance with political association. merc however tend to have only one interest. money.

RA - they have been in cashe since mid 2003 dispite so much conflicts no one has permanently removed them from therehome so i`de put them top for that sole reason.
Bob - simply so much experience from experienced players, with a industrial side to vival just about anyone, with commitment so second for me as i just think ra`s length of time in one place just pushes them ahead of bob
MC - For a small outfit they do change politics and influence the map probilly more than any other entity in eve.
Trium - A big screw you from trium to everyone else they pvp no matter what the odds for fun so i think they get a mention. |
