BUM is primarily made up of former ISS pilots who fought with us the first time Unity Station was threatened. We then thought with them when IAC attacked them. They have been solid allies for a long time and would have been so again much sooner if we had not been fretting over your position. When Karishal's Defiance came under siege we looked around at those who were prepared to join us and found a great many faces missing. When your neighbors refuse to assist you against your greatest enemy you begin to ask who your friends are. We found ourselves fighting people who were offering us their support and defending people who refused to fight the battles that truly mattered. After all the support we have offered to our neighbors, after overlooking their agreements with our greatest enemy, we find them with knives to our throats for simply doing what they have already done to us.
