What led up to this battle:
after roaming around ganking npcing battleships of xelas and fatal and random other corps including a <GHOST> alliance machariel. we managed to bump a xelas carrier off the station in U-S. we called moris mihi and they reported their gang was 13 jumps away and should have just enough firepower to take down a carrier, so we kept him off the station. a <ghost> alliance thanatos undocked and attempted to save the xelas carrier but we kept him dampened so he could do nothing but smartbomb. the thanatos docked up and dropped a cyno... more carriers started jumping in so we bailed as we got a report of a HUN corp gang inbound. as we left our gang had grown to around 30 guys mostly in cruiser size ships. we tried to intercept the HUN corp gang but they all bailed out given our gang was twice the size of thiers. i managed to get within 1k of a rapier so i lost my crow.
on to get another ship in yz-lql...
i met up back with the gang as they, and moris mihi had just crushed a dirty deeds corp battleship gang of around 6 or 7 battleships and a hac. we decided to go into g95 and stir up some trouble.
The Fatal/xelas/bob resistance gang formed:
a very large gang consisting of about 80-90 ships set up on the c1x gate in g95 with 9-10 sniping battleships and 25-30 battlecruisers on the gate with dictor and hac suport. i was in my arazu so i vollenteered to set up on some of the snipers since we were severly outnumbered. the fighter count on the gate was over 50 fighters. a few more ships trickled in so we contacted the Moris mihi gang to see if they wanted to help. the whole time weve been sitting on the other side of the gate in our optimal ranges. Moris mihi finaly decided to come.
The plan:
Moris mihi were to go into b32 and warp in on top of some of the snipers that were inline with that gate. we were to jump into the large blobbed up cluster of fighters and battlecruisers, hold our cloaks till everyone was loaded and kill off the suport while MM killed the snipers. MM gang consisted of about 25 guys mostly in small ships.

What happens next is beyond me:
MM jump into g95 from b32 and warp exactly as planned, we jumped in and loaded grid... the entire Fatal/Xelas/BoB gang had bailed from the gate leaving drones out.
so we warp to the station and kill a ferox who isnt paying attention.
GF Fatal, awesome battle, you outnumbered us 2:1 and have incredibly more firepower and tank than our small cruiser gangs could ever hope dish out, yet you still show your true color and yellow your way to a safe spot as soon as there is a possibility of losing a single ship.

same luck as us 
It wasn't a night for battles. We had great opportunity to fight roughly 50 v 50 against -Y- and MC in Fade
But to our suprise, they warped str8 onto the gate and jumped out 
We only killed a slow BS, as they ran back to be in range of the Titan cyno.
Given the same situation...we would have engaged.

We had a roughly 25 man gang of fast movers, mostly cruiser size and light ships, Morsus Mihi had a gang that was something similar, FATAL had this + 50 fighters (roughly 100 hostiles in system vs our two small gangs of fast movers)
Another potentially good fight ruined by people's unwillingness to risk losing ships while having some fun.
Oh, and that tech 1 fitted macharial used by the 'mercs' xelas hired to defend their space, classic setup, tractor beams ftw on faction ships.
My stabber got out of that at 30% armour after being shot at by about 30 people, small sig radius ftw

I wouldn't use the word belies..as, smack (veiled or not) is not good at hiding an ego 
However..I do agree with him. It seems that the alliance are not prepared to risk anything in a fight that they may lose...maybe it's an isk thing
The gang we encountered ran from a fair fight, then set up a large bubble with 4 carriers on gate and a Titan on call...pretty funny if you ask me

Wait, wait, wait. Let me get this strait. Goons are now doing the reporting of battles that didnÆt happen? How pathetic.
How about telling us of battles that did happen. Looking at BoBÆs kill board, thereÆs like dead goons and their pets everywhere. LetÆs hear about those battles, because obviously they did happen and thatÆs what everyone wants to know, not that goons didnÆt get a fight when they wanted one.
If you really want a fight, go put some towers in to reinforce mode and youÆll get a response that your are looking for. Oh, wait. That didnÆt go very well last time your friends tried that. Never mind then.

Oh yeah...those "great" fights where 40 capitals sieged multiple POS in an empty system while everyone slept That would have made a great write up.
Problem is...as many have noticed, certain fleets have forgot how to fight without Titan support.

yea it didnt go very well, because the towers mysteriously came out of reinforced with 100% shields. crazy i know :P
