Hi, in a few days i'll finally be able to fly a dreadnought and have already bought one in a 0.5 sec system, which is a busy missionrunner-hub. Although i'm far from flying it effectively yet, i have some questions on the rules concerning this issue:
1. Am i allowed to kill a pos in that system (after wardec) ? Or will a friendly GM come and teleport my dread into a 0.4 (so i can never come back to the 0.5 sys) or maybe even punish me somehow ?
2. Am i allowed to use it in pvp combat in that system ? I know this is more theoretical for a dread, but let's assume i join a corp that is at war with another, we build a gatecamp of few small ships full with targetpainter/webbers so i can almost insta-pop battelships with the dread. Is this a legit option or will it be seen as a sort of exploit, as people usually are not prepared for this ?
Few months ago i remember there was a diskussion about this, but don't know anymore to what conclusion people came and can't find the thread either. Any ideas ?

You bought a dreadnought in a 0.5??? Those are not cheap these days, as there aren't many left.

Can too! I've seen a video of Chribba doing it on SiSi.
You can tank them indefinately with a constant supply of cap charges and clathrates. Not very useful but still possible.
Edit: Deitalicified Edit2: I can't spell .

I stand to be corrected, but tanking concord is regarded as an exploit.

Using a capital ship located in 0.5+ in PVP has been deemed a bannable offence by GMs, so unless you want to risk your account getting banned I would suggest you do not take your shiny capital into PVP regardless its capability to tank Concord.

There are more being built all the time though. Anyone with a pre-Revalations Large Ship Assembly Array in 0.5 space can still build them. For example, the player in this post. I know of at least one kill by a dread in high sec where the player doing the killing received no warnings, but I do not know if it was petitioned or not. Personally I defer to Chribba's wisdom on this, though.

not true. tanking concord is fine aslong as you die eventually. so tank them from DT to next DT then die and hope you killed alot of freighters/Navy ravens/Haulers. to cover the dread loss.

Don't BoB or FIX (forget which) have a Carrier in Agil (highsec) which they regularly use in PvP against war-targets? I think that all the caps should be moved to lowsec, however I don't see any reason why using a cap for PvP in highsec should be against the rules if the ship is already there.

I don't see how they could ever have a Carrier in Agil, as Agil is a 0.9 system - and there has NEVER been any way of building carriers in 0.9 as they where introduced after the NPC building patches - as for dreads, to my knowledge there is only two dreads remaining from the pre-nerf days (in 0.8+), mine and the Phoenix in Sobaseki - all others (unless I have been missinformed for the past 18 months) are reimbursed ones and should be moved to low-sec.
So that carrier if so should have been moved by GMs a long time ago as it is a reimbursed carrier - gotten placed in the wrong system.
But back on topic, as capitals can tank concord for a longer time than intended to live if attacked by them - it has been said using capitals in PVP in 0.5+ is not allowed.
This was said in a Senior GM response just a few days ago, but since I can't post the convo without breaking the forum rules you have to take my word on it.

Bannable offence you say ? This sounds very severe, are you sure someone was banned for it ? And how about self-defence, if lets say i dock off, some war-targets bounce me off station with their nanophoons (btw: can they bounce me if im in siege ? and if i'm in siege can i just dock after agression timer is up or do i first have to leave siegemod?) and then my friends arrive with their targetpainter/webifier ships, am i not even allowed to shoot someone in order to defend my ship ?
But thanks for your answers, some very nice ideas you brought in here, didn't know that it's possible to tank concord for a while, this gives a lot of new toughts about new options , altough it's sad that it's might be forbidden to use the phoenix for pvp.
@ DS: i payed the normal price for it (2b) as that guy from who i bought it is still producing them in that sys.

I doubt anyone have been banned, but Seniro GM said it was so I'd say you can be depending on situation, for example if you undock for a mining session and someone aggress you - I doubt the situation would count as severe as your purpose is to mine, but if you undock with the purpose to PVP (eg in full PVP fitting) you could very well be banned if engaging - so probably comes down to the situation rather than the security of the system.
Not sure about what-in-seige-bumping, but iirc you cannot get bumped if in siege, but maybe someone with a bit more POS warfare experience can enlighten us on that subject.

U are NOT allowed to survive a concord engagement in hi sec anymore, it's as simple as that, if u do somehow manage to get away with ur ship intact it is simply seen as an exploit and u get banned.

Pardon me if this has been said already But supposedly concord doesn't bloom on SISI like they do on TQ, so that would make it easier to tank concord on sisi, but prolly wouldn't be plausible on TQ. Could be mistaking though, never really did play much with concord
Also i think someone was able to put up a capital ship production array somewhere in highsec and would thus be able to make capitals in highsec. Dunno if that's still operating though.

I saw a Moros and a Phoenix jousting in Aramachi a few months ago. I got the impression that there was a corp with a POS there who built them to order. They undocked from the station I was at an bumped me, my Abaddon took about 4 minutes to stop. ---

Dreads and Carriers can be built in Large Arrays in 0.5+ if the array was anchored before Revelations, after that patch you are not able to anchor them in hi-sec.
