I'm hoping that the current unusability of Evemon isn't down to the nerfing of the logserver files by CCP. They've done enough damage in this upgrade to external programmes without ruining Evemon on top of it.
If anybody knows any better, I'm willing to be corrected. |

Consider yourself corrected. While I've only been playing for a year, CCP has consistently shut down the EVE API for a couple of days after a new patch hit the servers.
In a couple of days, EVEMon should work as it used to. It did the same the patch before this, the one before that, etc. :)

EveMon just updated its datafiles for empyrian age and now shows my 3 chars as having 1 extra skill at Lv5.
I have 63 skills at lv5 but in the main window EveMon says i have 64 skills at Lv5.
Anyone else seeing this? |

My EVEmon seems to have completely broken, whenever I try to run it I simply get the message:
"EVEMon has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
It keeps coming up with this messsage, i've tried reinstalling it and closing down other applications before I start up EVEMon, but have had no luck.
Does anyone have any insight to this? It's always worked before. It stopped working after Empyrean Age was implimented.

The only thing lacking from recent versions is the ability to auto export the skill in training to Outlook/Google calendar. As it stands you have to hit a button to do so. When it downloads the XML file for currently training skill it would be nice to have it delete the old entry (as not to fill up the calendar with crap if you have skill ADD like I do) and put a new entry in with finish/alert time.
I would use the hell out of this as my Outlook syncs to my phone and thus I could get alerts when I am away from the computer.

Since the update my Evemon is also broke. I've tried updating API, unistall, reinstall, andlogging into Eve while changing skills. I saw Evemon do an update, but it has also had no effect. I either have one skill complete or none depending onthe last time Itried to renew the information. I expected it owuld catch up after a few days, but not so far. The key thing is about 30 minutes or so it verbally announces I have completed a skill that takes much longer than30 minutes and this is the only skill it displays as complete. I really like this because it helps me to remember which skill I am training. I miss having its functionality. I am happy to provide further feedback if someone desires more symptoms.

Ah... I found a solution that worked for me. Doing a search for evemon, I foundit in multiple places. Even after an uninstall, there was another complete installation of evemonon the system (including an unstall.exe) Once that install was removed and evemon reinstalled, everything worked fine. Hope this helps someone....

When I go to the Item Browser all the items have 'no slot', that is they all filter into the No Slot 'By Slot' thing... err... am I explaining this?
Basically when sorting By Slot in the Item Browser look at All Items and No Slot and they're the same... for me at least. Any ideas?

Hey thank you so much for this program. This one and EFT have made my gaming experience so much more enjoyable. I'm still a noob at this game, but I have some problem (or I'm not understanding the program right, which is totally conceivable.)
In my attributes, it shows my character as having a few less attribute numbers than I actually have. When I click the implant calculator, the attributes for Int is off by 2 and per, will, and mem are off by one. This is with the load implants: none, from the menu. The implants will load correctly, but I'm still off by the above. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have tried everything that I can think of to solve this particular problem. I've deleted my characters from Evemon then put them back in. I have deleted my characters and deleted Evemon from my system, and the problem still exists.
My characters are coming up either cached, or empty (no info) and this after using API key for them. The interesting thing is that even though you remove characters, Evemon seems to remember them. This occurs also when you remove the product from your system.
So my problem is as follows: My characters are coming up as either cached or as empty (no info) even though Evemon is pulling API Key info. Can anyone help me out w/this. It takes practice, time, and execution. |

Apologies if this has been suggested before, but a quick search didn't turn it up.
I'd love it if EVEMon would allow me to split a skill's training time. For example, when I have a long skill to train, I tend to run it while I'm away from the computer (sleep, work, whatever) and then interrupt it with short skills while I'm back. If I could use EVEMon to plan these breaks, I'd be able to put together a much more accurate plan which I'd be less likely to have to reshuffle every single day, which I'm doing at the moment.
Any chance of that?

I have two suggestions, don't know if they have been suggested before;
1) is it possible for you to include blueprints as an Item? and for manufacturing/researching/copying/etc to have different skill trees that you could load into your plan?
2) is it possible to include the skill Cybernetics as a "learning" skill? Since implants do make you train faster it would be nice if it would include cybernetics in the training plan, that way we can see if it will actually help or not, maybe you could have it selectable so you can choose to include cybernetics or not. Also if you do include cybernetics as a training plan, would it be possible for it not to have an affect on the skills before it? whenever I open up the implant calculator it affects the training times on the learning skills meaning that the amount of time saved is not entirely accurate.

also everyone should remember [or be aware] that if your account is disabled then the api no longer works and evemon [or others] will not be able to collect the current training [it will remember the last one going when it became disabled though]

Today I tried the scheduler... it seems that the date picker is a little wonky.. it wont let you scroll to a future date. I figured out that I could use my arrow keys and just race through the days till I got the one I wanted though.
My point of trying it was that I hoped that eve-mon would be smart enough to tell when I blocked off an area and then arange my skills to compensate. Alas it just marks them red. Is there a way this could be changed to be part of the sorting?

I must have missed that link that talks about that. Anyone know the ETA of when api is getting re-enabled? Is assume its still down as of the 4th since my evemon wont update the characters.
