Never run a lvl 4 before and looking for a little guidance on tanks.
I plan on using my typhoon. Main enemy will be Sansha, Bllod and Gurista. Sansha and Blood are easier to armour tank than Gurista so I will use the later as the benchmark.
Against Gurista I can manage these resistances:
Kinetic 79% Thermal 81.5%
I currently plan to run a LAR2 and MAR2. The LAR2 can more or less permarun if I only use the MAR2 in bursts.
Will this tank get me through at least the more straight forward level 4s ?
Against Blood or Sansha the resistances become:
EM 86.5% Thermal 90%

You should be fine even if you somehow draw a full stage agro. Unless you get NOSsed dry ofcource. Those numbers at least look pretty solid. If you are just starting lev 4 missions then read up before you go in and if in doubt fit cap injector (if you can squeeze it into your setup). It should be able to keep you alive long enough to kill scrambler and warp out even in case of agro going seriously wrong.
When you have done few missions already and feel a bit more secure then you can always find someting more useful for that midlsot. And insure your battleship ofcource

With recent changes, its become much easier to tank L4 missions. Most of them are on trigger now, so its much easier to manage aggros - it becomes important though to read up on missions, so you know what you can attack and what you can't to be safe :)

Thanks for the suggestions so far, looking good for my first missions.
Not to turn this into something that should be in ships and modules but I have one question about the cap booster option. To fit it I would need to drop down from 800ACs to D425s and lose a cap recharger.
My cap recharge would still be pretty good - I have three CCC rigs fitted and would still have one eutectic in the mids. Would experienced mission runners prefer the extra security of the booster over the added firepower of 4 800 Scouts compared to 4 d425 scouts - other armament is 4 Arbie cruise, t1 heavies and t2 mediums

I have no experience flying Typhoon in lev 4 missions myself. Can float around in it but not very good ;) That said I'm wondering if those AC's can actually track targets without web. Quess they will be ok for bigger targets, but smaller ones might be problematic. Then again drones will do short work of those when needed propably. Would propably need afterburner tho to get into AC range.
And about cap injector. It seems people usually prefer cap recharge over 'fueled' option (in the form of cap injector). I myself prefer added security of cap injector ofcource as I run regular T2 shield tank. I have not fought blood raiders mutch after latest patch but I have heard that in some missions they use insane amounts of NOS. In that case cap injector might be better alternative than cap recharge.

Just for info my actual planned setup is here (copied from another thread, so sorry dfor the duplication if you have seen both). AB and Webber - one or both of these can go if I find need more recharge.
4 Arbie cruise 4 AC (d425 scout if I decide to fit a cap booster, 4 800 scout if a second recharger)
Afterburner, Eutectic caprecharger, Web and either another eutectic or a heavy booster w/800s
LAR2, MAR2, 4 rat specific hardeners, Emergency damage control
3 CCC rigs (cap recharge)
5 heavy T1, 5 medium T2 drones.
Not sure how it will work but will find out this weekend.

You will find that a MAR II will be enough for most missions. LAR II in bursts will help if you draw more aggro then anticipated. For guristas fit 3x kinetic, 1 thermal. They mostly spam missiles and it's all kinetic.

lo,
no need to fit 2 armor rep's, thats bs if u ask me
I do my miss in megathron , and guristas are the easiest one to tank
I fit 3x t2 kinetic armor hardeners with compensation skill at lvl5 I get arround 91%kinetic (base on mega is 35%) also fit dmg control for the begining .. I use dmg mod now instead of it :)
can tank them for ever, also 3x cap rigs, cap recharger t2 and named (24%) cap power relay
I did use injector but its a pain and it takes alot of cargo space, dont bother

luke for gurista you need higher kinetic as thats there highest output flavour of damage.
85% kin 64% therm t2 large booster is wha tI run on almost all gurista missions

Minmatar ships have the base resist 25% for kinetic in armor. And compensation skills don't affect active hardeners (well they do, until you turn them on). So it's a wasted train.

as far as this is concerned, looks like a pretty solid fitting, but if your going to spend all the isk on the rigs you might a well get tech 2 cap rechargers and damage controls since they are so cheap now. also as far as drones are concerned, i would probably go for 6 heavies and 5 lights just in case you lose a heavy. i guess with that setup you can replace a heavy with a medium T2 but then i dont like risking T2 drones on missions :)

well ..not a wasted train , cos I like to fly deimos with passive hardeners, or on any other t2 ship ...
