For heaven's sake, the human digestive system has evolved to digest meat aswell as veg. Having one without the other causes problems, especially in a child who needs protein to grow. I wonder if this case counts for a Darwin Award, since they managed to murder their only hope of propagating their genetic line? -------------------------------------------------------------------- Beer is my religion. There are also babies born who are lactose intolerant, for whom soy based formula is a very good alternative (note soy formula does not cause allergies/there are very few if any formulas available that are actually vegan, so this clueless couple were on the wrong track from the start). This whole issue of 'forcing' a vegan diet on a baby/child that a few of you seem to find criminal, shows you are nigh on as ignorant with regard to vegeo/vegan diets as the couple of this baby. food for thought

I fight karate tournaments and I know some ufc fighters... I have never heard of a vegan fighter though some who are vegetarians do exist. However to make their body fit they need to eat additivies and that kind of takes away from the whole concept of vegetarism! Its much much easier living a healthy fit life with meat! Its a natural part of the human diet has been so as long as we have existed! The only vegans I have met are pale and frail. Anyhow the baby died because of fanatic vegan parents, such stories are allways tragic! ----------------------------------------------- I dont remember I dont recall I dont have memory of anything at all!

Its a fact that we no longer live on the laws of nature - we do no longer need to kill to be feed. We live on the laws of the culture. We can compare r4cism/n4zsim to sp3cism; because some beings have less status in the consious world, do we have the right to industrialize them - just because we can? Iam never gonna force my views on anyone - its a personal choice(being good or bad). But there is plenty of things from where you can get you omega3, protiens and calcium; without eating meat(or even dairy products). NB.
