You can get credit cards with all sorts of reward plans... airline miles, cash back, gift certificates, you name it. So why not an EVE card? For every dollar/pound/etc that you spend, you get so much ISK back. Your credit card has a big EVE logo, so it doubles as advertisement everytime you flash it at the supermarket.
I know, it sounds kind of crazy, and I'm not even sure if I like the idea. But with the increasing popularlity of MMORPG's, is this something that might happen?

getting isk for buying stuff with real life cash... I'm not even going to dignify this with a response. ____________

Yeah, sure, sounds like a great idea.
Next thing they will implement is the ISK store, 100m for $10, then everyone will be happy, right? It's simple economics!

So what a million ISK per $100.00?? PROMISES MADE > PROMISES KEPT SO SAY WE ALL |

Edited by: Marden Grace on 13/05/2007 23:03:26 There's a WoW VISA card that gives you game time as a reward.
Edit: I thought I should include a link...

And it wouldn't have to be ISK as the reward. Since CCP would make money everytime you used your card, they could offer free gametime. Or free subscriptions to EON. Maybe T-shirts and coffee mugs.

You could get game time based on how much you spend.... Isn't that what WoW does? --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |

I kind of like the idea of an Eve card, though nomatter what reward it offers it would likely become my primary card heh. How about it gives you a dollar discount on your monthly payment if you pay your subscription with it?

this would actually benefit the game since it would remove the isk farmers that sells the isk.... (although personally i don't like the fact that it is so easy to sell ingame for outgame, but if the company wanted they could stop it no prob, so i gues its not wanted... well like the idea, hate the result that it would bring).
just my thought on that...

Yeah, doing the same thing as WoW with EVE would be a good idea.
Rewarding ISK would not be a good idea. ----

I like it. I'd get one. Especially like the idea of reduced subs for money spent.

Something about your name got me thinking, that you actually created that alt just to reply to this post??
Just because WoW has one doesn't mean that EVE shouldn't have one. It's what gets me with EVE community, WoW is a great game, people have thier different tastes. But EVE community flame it really bad like they are superior.
Well here you have it, YOUR NOT , your just another pwn playing an MMORPG, mindlessly grinding away (like every MMO gets you doing).
The discussion aint killed, you tried to kill it you murderer
EVE card FTW :)

An Ishtar with just 32 Hammerheads in drone bay is worthless.

EVE Condoms would give you a pop-up warning you that you are entering low-security space. Would you like to proceed?

Well said. But I could see some merit, though limited, to tying your purchasing power to game time.

I would very much like one, as long as it doesnt generates ISK. How about just getting subscriptiontime like someone else suggested, or points which i could use in the Evestore?
