This looks like it is shaping up to be a defining battle in the war, both sides are committing capital assets to get momentum going in the conflict. There is a similar battle shaping up in the north as well.
It is too early to tell what the outcome of the battle of 9-9 will be however there will be one entity in control of this system at the end and that won't be decided by what is posted here.

If it takes BoB 3 months to take all of your station systems, they have spent less time then the coalition spent removing LV from their space. I don't remember the exact timeline of the ASCN war, but it lasted more then three months (at least I think it did.)
I think the ASCN war was almost exactly 3 months. IIRC (and I might remember wrong), it started around 28/9, and was more or less over (at least as far as organised resistance was concerned) by the end of the year.

OK Mr.empire dwellar, how do you get sov over a system without POS spamming? Please give me some inside info on how to take over a system without POS.
Who said one can take over a system without a POS?
Sophistry: 9/10. Congratulations.
Whatever dude. It was meant as a half-hearted early morning sarcastic reply to his sarcastic reply. Pardon me for waking late and seeing the bull**** already being slung on the forums.

The only difference is intent. Something which is impossible to prove. We went over this 3 years ago. There wasn't any good arguments back then iirc. So tell me now then. From a game perspective what is the difference between the two?
To me both of them are metagaming. IRC and TS are similar OOG comms channels. Oh and your text is heavily biased to try and make a point. Which it does rather badly still. RA logged on next doors. Bob logged on in system even. Should that matter?
I'm sorry, I disagree with your point of view. There is a big difference between logon and logoff and logging on to help someone. I also find that by your logic that travelling ingame to save a friend or logging on to an alt are meta gaming.
There is adifference between using comms to help you instead of trapping by using logon tactics. Even if it just the difference in intent.

For the moment, we are leaving syndicate but we will continue to monitor the GoonSwarm and should we feel that they have done anything of note in the game, we will destroy it.
I am sure that some of those remaining GoonSwarm members will be rejoicing at having survived this long against us but I can only ask you were you have been recently.
Keep watching Goons, because we will.

Really, ok. How does it differ then for me or anyone as a victim? Pilots in EVE are vanishing and appearing out of thin air. So much so that it has become an integral part of EVE and alliance warfare. People are splitting hairs over this and it's ridiculous. I would and I have argued the exact same thing if the tables were turned.
Quote: I also find that by your logic that travelling ingame to save a friend or logging on to an alt are meta gaming.
Errr. No. Travelling to save a friend is not metagaming. I asked Pilk a question to illustrate his bias and one-eyedness. :)

Ok - maybe not the travelling part. I would just like to point out that even adifference in intent matters. To me anyway. Logon on traps are still wrong. Using IRC or Teamspeak to logon people to help someone is not a trap. Just better communication with better intent.

This must mean that TWD was incorrect in what he posted and infact, we have already lost 9-9.

Ok, let me try to summarize the cap fleet battle from all these reports.
BoB brings out 30 or so capital ships, goons bring about the same, BoB notices that somewhere in eve there are russians logging on and gets scared. BoB runs away from the capital fleet despite having four titans, losing 3 other capital ships and killing none.
And somehow this is a BoB victory because they anchored 50 towers a couple days before the fight?

The character assassinations are amusing but unimportant in the greater scheme of things.
If the last 3 months have taught the readers of eve-o anything it should be that these forums are meaningless.
They are an amusing read however, hehe.

I'm surprised Molle wastes his time posting meaningless kill stats on these meaningless forums. Maybe you and Molle are not only liars and cheats who benefited from secret info and blueprints provided by a cheating member of the development team, but are also too stupid not to post meaningless posts on meaningless forums.
Maybe if these forums are so meaningless to you, you could just do everybody the favour of dragging your sorry, cheating carcasses out of these forums and out of this game and leaving them for the rest of us to enjoy. Even if only for the sake of the many members of Band of Brothers who work hard for their space and for each other, only to have their every achievement tainted by your sad presence.
I hope you find a higher meaning in your life than to cheat your way to prominence in a video game.

Also, it was a bit rich considering the IRC chatlogs from yesterday where the bob irc channel goes absolutely berserk to get people logged on because you were loosing a thanatos.
Logging on at a moment's notice to save a fellow alliancemember's carrier is quite different from hiding your numbers in capitals to make the enmy engage and then log them on the moment they do.
this doesn't mean we are not prepared for them, but it just means everyone will keep complaining about no proper fights.
I'll leave it at that. Being on opposite sides seems to automatically mean no1 agrees.
BOB members complaining about the use of a game mechanic that the GM's have said is not an exploit... does not garner much sympathy to be honest.

I'm not complaining. I added information on a one-sided view of things(but i see the posts are alrdy deleted/edited)
And my 2nd reply merely expressed my view on 2 diff. ways of "logon tactics".
The fact GM's say logonski's are ok has been accepted long ago.

Edited by: Axia Firehead on 15/05/2007 14:30:53 it s strange to see that, with the comming back of bob's forum warriors, craps are coming back in force..
it s fun to see bob's members trying to convince peopple that they arent cheaters, but that the coalition are.
in this figth, bob had around the same amount of capital of GS. they had titans and mothership that GS don t have, and they feel the need to retreat.
maybe they will explain this in a regular way, and not using metagaming, as alwais.
( ps : sorry for my english, it s not my native language, all flame you could see is for you if you think you desserve it. it' s my oppinion and not my corporation or alliance ( well i can see 1 or 2 members who aren t agree. not much more... :p )
