Devs, please fix this lag issue. At night (1200 GMT), when I can actually play, I cannot do the missions without dealing with HUGE amounts of lag. My agent is in Aramachi, but so many times I'm sent to Saila to do missions. Even in Aramachi the lag is bad, but in Saila modules and weapons can take upwards to 60 seconds to activate. I have almost lost my ship a few times from this. Yeah, I know you will give me my ship back should I loose it to lag, but you don't always give back all the modules. As we all know, its the modules that make the ship.
Please let the community know how long this is going to take. I signed up for a year, but now I'm sorry that I did that now. If I were paying month to month, I would surely stop my subscription until I know the lag issues were fixed. Everyone is complaining about this, so why are you not doing anything about this in a speedy manner? At my job, if you don't fix problems, your looking for a new job. But, I do what I have to do because I take pride in my work. Maybe you guys should do that too?
The worst part about all of this is I'm not having fun when dealing with all this lag. Aren't we playing this game for fun? Even more so, I'm sitting here writing my post when I should be playing. Hmmm... Get the picture yet???
Everyone knows this game is great. I have been gaming online for over 10 years. Eve is, without a doubt, the most complex and exciting online game I have ever played! I think it would be beneficial to all if you just got off the wallet and spend whatever it takes to make this lag free. Stop with all the updates and patches, just improve the game play, then go back to adding content.
As an interm suggestion, why not make a few more level 4 high quality agents in other places? This way, not so many people would be jammed up in the Citadel region (especially Saila). I can't imagine that this would be very hard to implement.
I thank you for your time and I'm sorry for the long post, but I had to get my thoughts out in the open. I hope that you take this seriously and bring the "FUN" back to Eve...

You might as well grind up enough faction with another corp, they're not going to fix it anytime soon.

You think they care, hardly.. many petitions sent by myself and others .. all they tell you is to move to another system.

Thanks for the responses. Its sad that this has "become the norm" for certain regions. I'm new, only 4.5 months into the game, but the direction that this is going I can only suggest that people brand new to EVE really consider if they want to subscribe to such a laggy service. I've heard that CCP and the DEV's have no hard concerns about the lag because it would cost money to fix.
I will remain hopeful though, and not give up. I file petitions on a regular basis, just so the "powers to be" know that the problem truly still exists.
I guess the only thing that would really make it tough for CCP to ignore is if everyone bailed, but that is NOT ever going to happen. So they loose a few thousand customers, in the big picture that means very little. I just don't know how they sleep at night knowing that they are, in a sense, ripping us off.
On those abandoned drones, there are 5 T2 Vespa's out there somewhere. When I decided to bail on my Vengance mission, I pulled in my drones and warped away. I saw my drones go into the bay and the count increase by 5. After I docked at a station, I noticed that my drones were no longer in my drone bay. I tried to go out and get them, but I couldn't even leave the station because of the lag. There goes a few million, not to mention I'll miss the bonus as well.
Could this be anymore frustrating???

Like Jita, Motsu and Saila have their own special little node. The problem isn't the node, it's the hundreds of players that for some reason sit there in the system doing missions.
Use another agent. There's more than 1 high level mission agent for caldari Navy you know.
All Caldari corps offer CNRs as LP rewards. It's your choice to mission there, they aren't forcing you to.
And yes, I also used to mission there. At 300k LP I gave up and moved somewhere else because it's impossible.

I sold my CNR and faction fittings out of fear of losing them to the lagmonster. I have the standings to use the best cadari agents in the game but I choose not to go to lowsec to be ganked by little *****s in cruisers who wait till you have a full agro in an angels extravaganza and take months of effort away from you in one fell swoop,
So the long and short of this is that I will move to low sec agent if and when CCP does something to protect me in low sec ie: make it impossible to scout out a person doing a mission or something. That would do wonders for high sec lag, until then however I will just stick to doing missions in saila when the local count is low.

Hello. Low sec is not the only option. As stated above caldary has plenty of combat agents in various corporations. It's not like caldary navy is only option or sec 1.0 the best sec room to do the missions.
Granted other agents are not in those nice clusters and if you have to decline missions often then that 4h timer might bite hard. Solution is ofc to do all that comes from agent (or almost all). Still better isk/h than waiting 2 minutes each time you try to activate your modules.

Hmm, they allready are offered by all caldari agents
But plain simple, CCP can't fix the lag in Motsu/Saila, those systems allready are running at the best hardware available. And even if there was better hardware, every time CCP would fix the lag (better hardware is available), it only raises the cap at which the system will start to lag. Look at the latest upgrades, first it lagged with 50 people, then 100 and now it's at 150-200.
All they can do is add more high q agents, but even then there will always be an agent-hub

So did anyone with any sense... I went there once to help a friend on a mission and if I wasn't packing a perma-tank, I'd have refused to do it.
But, I think those systems are a great thing personally. They're like a containment area for idiots, leaving the other systems with good agents relatively lag-free. Win.
Remember kids: Only the Caldari Navy give out CNRs. Running missions for any other corp just won't do. Get grinding! ;-P

Stop being a ******whiner and move out.
Caldari space is a ****hole of lag because of you two-bit idiots overcrowding the place and you're crying about it because you are overcrowding it.
Be part of the solution and go elsewhere.
If you're going to cancel your subscription because you still want to stay in Saila or whatever missionrunners' refugee system that 99% of the other population of EVE don't give a toss about, good riddance. You'll be part of the solution then. ---------------

I'll probably get burned for this...
Try Gekutami. As you can see on this page, the agent there is a tad better then the one in Saila. The downside ofcourse by moving to Gekutami is that there is just one agent. The plusside is that it is very quiet, around 30 or 40 in local, and empty at some times in surounding systems.
Try it out ______________________________

No no, Gekutami is a terrible system! Far worse than Motsu - the overcrowding is unbearable, and all the agents offer nothing but mining crystals for LP offers!

Congrats! You found the forums!!
Thats step 1
Step 2: (and this is a toughie) Read
Took me all of maybe 12 minutes to find 2 level 4 kill mission agents (1 over 10 qual the other 18) from the same corp in the same station in a system with about 15 ppl max. In empire. With no low sec anywhere near.
That means you can leave the Caldari Triangle thus removing the lag for you and reducing it for others. A virtual win-win.
Good evening, I'll be your ALT for this post. Can I offer you some troll or whine to start? |

doing my best to annoy the farmers by scanning em down and doing the loot+salvage+shooting their rats game. Quite profitable and keeps the local scan probe guys producers in business. Ready buy orders for most loot types to. Pulling up to 100m ISK an hour which aint half bad

Actually there is 2 combat agents in Gekutami. One good and another reasonable (L4Q18 and L4Q12 if I remeber correct). I myself use that system ocasionally when my main agent (Ishukone, L4Q17 in Hentogaira) trys to send me into low sec 2 times in row.
