It's an event not worth the bother of flying to a nearby waypoint, even...if you spent a few seconds clearing the rounds of pre-attacks, players warp in on the boss and kill steal-then take the reward. Endlessly.
Completely not worth bothering since you're just doing the work for nothing. Pretty boring. |

I'm a new player and I spent the better part of an hour chipping away at drones and losing ships/refitting new ships to go back only to have someone in a better ship swoop in and one shot everything. I do feel kind of left out. Maybe someone will let me sniff their goodies. |

June 27 at 11:00 UTC is the end of the event. You have 2 days to get something.
The Accelerator expires on June 29 at 23:59:59 UTC (the whole week). After June 27, you can buy boosters from the market. In some regions they cost 10-15m ISK currently.
Just fly away from the tract and main region systems. I noticed many uncontested Drone Nests in borderlands systems yesterday, while near main systems they wasnGÇÖt. Try Amarr regions. For example, I did exploration in the Molden Heath yesterday. There is a deep GÇ£greenGÇ¥ system Katteguad where I noticed like 12 Rogue Swarm Nests in an empty system. There are many other systems closer to Imperial lands. Compared to the first two days itGÇÖs very easy now.

The Rogue Swarm Nests works like Combat Anomalies and Signatures (including WH) GÇô if youGÇÖll close it in this system another one will automatically appear in a RNG system of Constellation or Region. So, if many of them will be closed in main systems, through statistical RNG distribution more and more of them will stack at some inactive systems. |

The frigates are fast, but without enough DPS to clear sites fastly, while BC and BS are too slow for fast grind.
We know about GÇ£22.3% (2.3T) of the ISK was generated by 1.4% of characters earning bounties, using SupercarriersGÇ¥, but this looks like GÇ£60% (XX B) of the ISK was generated by 5% of characters earning goodies, using T2, T3 and Faction CruisersGÇ¥.
I got some SKINS and, most importantly, a Rogue Swarm Accelerator, but other new bros are out of the game.
Considering my 250 DPS on my Vexor, I lost like 4 sites by being GÇ£outdpsedGÇ¥. Just in case, after I cleared all drone waves someone jumps to the site and one shot the last boss just to drop the yellow can. I met players which passed the site which was already cleared also.
There should been three types of sites, based on their difficulty and rewards: Ligh, Medium and Heavy.
Just a word, if youGÇÖll see a player on a bad ship clearing the site just leave him. Play in a greedy GÇ£White/YellowGÇ¥ can if both of you cleared all the waves just for whoGÇÖll get the last GÇ£whiteGÇ¥ can, a 50/50% game.

Whilst I appreciate your views, one must consider this is a contest, If one, for example, pits preschool children against professional footballers, one would expect them to score far less than those who have trained for years. There are no "Pity" wins in EVE. No one runs these sites to lose.
I do agree with you however, There would be value, for some sites to be T1 (no pirate or faction ships) only. Whilst better players will still eat your lunch most of the time, at least the playing field would be more even, and maybe younger players will learn to fly ships that could actually win a contest (ps your Vexor is a bad choice for contesting sites, maybe try the thorax as a start?) |
