In times past there were agents in space around the starter systems, handing out one-time missions called æKeeping Crime in CheckÆ for faction standing in exchange for tags. These agents were removed and eventually relocated and augmented in Revelations to empire-run Data Centers. There are three such data centers in each of the four empires. Some of them have additional agents in a bank of structures to give higher level versions of the æKeeping Crime in CheckÆ missions, supposedly for higher and higher faction gains, as the faction and corporation standings are the only real reward for these missions, since each mission gives only a few thousand isk for both the reward and time bonus.
Unfortunately the additional agents didnÆt work upon their release, but were eventually fixed. However after completing the Amarr and Caldari data centers, I have found that the primary reward and purpose of these missions is badly in need of adjustment as the rewards are far too low in comparison with other normal and event agent rewards.
Each data center has at least two agents in ships, one giving an in system or one jump courier mission with the reward being a graduation certificate and faction standing. The other agent gives the first æKeeping Crime in CheckÆ mission. Everyone who wants to build up their standing should do these missions, the courier mission is quick and the copper tags are usually cheap and plentiful on the market, and the faction gains from these are worth the effort.
Data Centers with the additional agents all have the same structure, with the same agent level giving the same mission, for that data centerÆs requisite tags of course. Each data center requires the same factionÆs tags for all of its agents. Simply match up the agent level and tags required below for each data center to see the faction and corporation standing received from that mission.
(Notes: There are additional low-level agents in ships in the Caldari data centers giving a courier mission; all three of the Amarr graduation certificate agents give direct Khanid faction standing gains; the Blood Brass tag agent in Kudi is bugged, the faction gain doesnÆt appear in the playerÆs transactions, a GM informed me that the mission did give me 0.0404% faction gain however that is ridiculously low even for these missions; and the additional agents in the Amarr data center in Ferira give direct Ammatar faction standing)
Data Centers:
Minmatar - Republic Data Centers 1. Emolgranlan 2. Arlulf 3. Engosi
Gallente - Federate Data Centers 1. Abenync 2. Muer 3. Ekuenbiron
Amarr - Imperial Data Centers 1. Ferira 2. Polfaly 3. Kudi
Caldari - State Data Centers 1. Kamokor 2. Ahtulaima 3. Saikanen

To compare: A normal level 3 combat important mission gives 6.0% faction, 15% corporation standing gain. The Caldari ôImproving Relationsö event agent mission, given to pilots with 8.5 or higher Caldari faction standing with a primary reward of a 2-run Navy Hookbill BPC in exchange for x30 Guristas Silver Tags also gives 0.7276% faction and 2.0789% corp standing as a secondary reward, higher than all but one of the Caldari additional æhigher levelÆ data center agents, whose only reward is the standing gain.
You can see for yourself that the majority of the additional agents in the data centers simply are not worth the tags they ask for. Most pilots could never collect all the necessary tags on their own, and must purchase them from the market. Doing this without buy orders and patience, and buying directly from sell orders would easily cost several hundred million isk to acquire all of the tags necessary to fully complete these three data centers (I spent around 500M to bring you this information). The reward simply isnÆt in line with the value of the tags, with other missions, or even with their counterpart missions in other data centers.
+If someone would like to note the standing gains from the Gallente and Minmatar data centers and add them to this, please do. I cannot complete those missions without harming my Amarr and Caldari standings.
+If someone has Blood Gold Tags they would be willing to sell to me, let me know. ItÆs the only mission I havenÆt completed, and despite generous buy orders covering the 4 most likely empire regions where these would be sold IÆve only managed to get 6 in nearly 2 weeks.

Thanks.
You're thinking of the system 'Sakkikainen' in the Forge, in the Caldari COSMOS constellation 'Okkelen.'
Saikanen is in The Citadel in the constellation 'Nagaslaiken' and has the data center.
All the Caldari systems sound alike to me too.

Well tbh the Amarr ones ARE worth it, as the price of those tags proves. People are very willing to shell out big money for insta faction standing. I know I did. I actually went and failed the gall/min ones to further boost my amarr standing...
I agree though that the Caldari gains look fubar. -

Although the Amarr ones are better than the Caldari, they still are most definitely not worthwhile when compared to other missions. The tags have always been expensive, the Data Centers had very little to do with it. Simply completing a couple of lvl 3 storylines or just one lvl 4 is roughly equal to an entire Data CenterÆs faction increase.
I think that they either need substantial retuning for their faction gains, or another reward should be added. The thing that springs to mind is navy mods. Since there is just one additional bank of data center agents for each empire, having each one give a few navy mods would fit right in, and make these missions worthwhile.

Edited by: Dangermouse DM on 22/05/2007 20:39:54 There is also a great risk involved. On my way to hand in the last of my Sansha tags my internet connection dropped and by the time I got back on the mission was failed (I had left it to the last minute). That little mistake took me from 9.84 to 9.38 standing, quite a drop and way more than I had gained.

Ouch. That's a lot of mission time lost.
That type of situation is partially why I posted this for everyone. The tags are so relatively rare and expensive that it is necessary to have prior knowledge of which tags each agent needs so that you can collect the tags prior to accepting the mission. Unless of course youÆre willing and able to get all the missions and fly around the galaxy on a massive spending spree for tags.
The best way to complete these is to have the tags in your cargo when you first visit the agent, then instantly accept and complete the mission.
Oh yeah, I could still use around 10 more Blood Gold Tags, if anyone want to part with them (there are some at Jita way overpriced at 3M-5M each but IÆm not that dumb). Unlike the cookie-cutter mission description (which is exactly the same for every mission) the truth is you will most likely not find those tags in the surrounding high-sec asteroid belts.

I did the Minmatar ones in Emolgranlan some time ago, didn't write down exact numbers though. And as I didn't do them in order I can't really fiddle the exact gains from the transaction logs, but:
Certificate: 1.15% faction Copper: 1.725% faction Silver: 4.025% faction, (4.9% corp?) Gold: 5.1321% faction, (11.5% corp?)
All others between 0.5% and 0.69% faction and below 3% corp as far as i can tell.

Edited by: Hockston Axe on 10/06/2007 19:11:00 Well third times the charm with editing something on these atrocious forums. How many months or has it been years that weÆve heard æweÆre working on it?Æ
The agent names are on there now for Caldari/Amarr, although I think it clutters up the useful info a bit.
If anybody has any Blood Gold Tags they want to sell, hit me up. Gold tags seem to be the rarest kind of any faction, even though there are 4 other tag classes above them.
Oh wait thatÆs right, maybe itÆs because nobody put any thought into any of this Data Center fluff.
The Data Center's deserve far more than I care to put down here.
Thanks for everybodies help in confirming that all the Data Centers are as worthless as the Amarr/Caldari ones.

Ok a little confused here.
I have been to the datacentre in Abenync, and done the certificate mission, as well as the "Kepping crime in check mission - 10 Brass tags"
I then did the Storyline missions (6-part with the 3 part in the middle), and have been given a token - the description says to be given to Boismevier Mals, when he is ready to see you.
I want to know, how do I get to the other agents that want tags (crystal etc), must I flyt to Muer and the other system ?

It doesn't look like it. Here is what the patchnotes said for Revs 1 where they were introduced. It's the only mention I've seen of the Datacenters in any patchnotes or known issues.
Originally by: Revelations 1 Patchnotes Agents collecting common pirate dog tags have been created and placed inside data centers around the galaxy. The common dog tags include copper, bronze, silver, electrum, brass, palladium, gold, crystal, platinum and diamond tags for all 5 major pirate factions.
