I've been thinking about this issue, and basicly the only way to FORCE people to fight is to attack their POS, otherwise there is absolutely no purpose in PvP except having fun (and some people just don't find it to be fun, to fight an old school pvp massacrer without caps and super caps), this is sad and frustrating, I hope CCP will fix something about their game soon :( Look who's talking. -------- I tanked D2 capital fleet and all I got was truncated Erebus mail.

Our FC gave the call to all jump into A-Z and setup a camp with some dictors on the gate and the main gang on a sniping spot with support between them because we would have buiness later on in the night. I stayed in Z-8 to keep an eye on local and see what the hostile fleet was doing. First there was only one jumped in and suddendly a rapier uncloacked at the A-Z gate he mwded of to a spot 160 from the gate. The hostile fleet jumped in and local raised to 80. There support warped on top of the gate. There BS fleet warped to the snipe spot. EW ship started to spread around the gate on there optimals and some more snipe spots where made. Then the offer came in local: "300mil each and you can pass" I informed my FC and we started to raise the money. During that time of waiting Z-8 Local filled to 120 (50:40 BS:Support and 9 EST who live in the system). As TRI we did not need to go that way, we would like a fight but didnt want to jump in a camp while we where needed otherwhise later in the evening. Suddenly the Razor gang stopped alignment for Planet 1 and started aligning for the A-Z gate full speed. I reported it to our FC and the gate was bubbled. Then they dropped speed again. After 5 mins they decided they wanted to have a fight with us and didn't want to wait for there money any longer. There BS started ariving on the gate from there snipe spots. Then local dropped by about 40 (there support) a split second after that they jumped in the rest of the gang and afaik had a blast on the otherside. Respect for jumping in and having a fight! After the fight TRI left and Razor returned home. Our support fleet moved towards the system where hyrda was sieging a pos but hold one jump out and did not come into actoin. I kept looking for the Razor gang who was maybee coming for a second go but they didn't. After the capital fight we moved back home to Venal. *Where you read Razor gang it was a mixed gang of Razor/MM/Pure/Rule and some more razor allies. Edit: Typos

We had with allies well over 200 ships fielded and yet got our arses handed to us on plate. With the rules/mechanics the way they are there was nothing really we could do about it but not go to the POS in the first place. Splagada Minmatar Tides of Silence Hydra Alliance	Posted - 2007.05.21 08:44:00 - [46] trying to sync the kbs still... some of the killmails are missing still apparently Anyway, we knew you were coming but didnt expect that kind of numbers the capital fleet changed the deal, and while it is just-a-pos-in-dead-end-system it is still a loss, and a big one not personal as i lost my daily 3 ships as usual :p lag was ok for me, i never been in such battles before and was positively surprised the strategy was imo good. we knew there was another fleet blocking you from coming but we didnt expect a loss there. but nice capital showdown, i was at the pos when your cyno passed our anticyno group and nice freaking lightshow :D we learnt from it and will learn from it and improve. some mistakes wont happen again. Anyway that was lots of almost, that means a loss. kudos for the fight ------

If you had all 8-10 (?) cap ships at the POS at the same time, all in siege, and actually at the same spot, you could have killed some of us. We however recieved more or less no dmg (not losses, literally dmg). So you didnt call primaries, or were not prepared to fight something else but a POS. Your 200 support ships are fine and dandy, but you didnt warp them into the POS on top of us, apart from some BS 70km> away not doing much. You only got your arses handed to you cause you waited on the gate till we killed all your caps and then you safespotted, so our fleet didnt even get to jump in to you. Ofc kudos for doing it anyway, and bringing the fight, but blaming the game now is just a cheap excuse.

If you had warped into the POS you would have had the 200 vs our caps. But you didn't, why do you think our support never got into the system? Because you never left the gate. Kill our support (70?) lose some of your own support maybe while doing it. After you killed our support go for our capitals. But you choose otherwhise and maybe you had good reasons for doing so. None the less, good fight! and respect for not just hiding!

Our support fleet of about 20 bs and 40 or so other ships was sat on the opposite side of the gate, waiting for the signal that Hydra had warped their 150+ support fleet (judging by local) in on the capital fight. We then planned to jump into the middle of them. Sadly they not only didn't attack our capitals, but also left the gate to retreat to their POS preventing us from even leroying in on their gatecamp. The lack of fight from the support side of things was more than made up for by the 9 capital ships we destroyed, at least one of which appeared to be corpum fitted. A blow has been dealt to Hydra that they will not soon recover from. Tri are here. Get used to it. sgb
