Edited by: fightnkill on 22/05/2007 19:51:01 It's quiet striking to me to see that the north is being pushed around by a bunch smaller alliances.
Yes, I know that those small alliance has many Capitals + Super Capitals, but let me remind you that those are not the things that's allowing them to win a lot of battles and inflicting one sided massacre.
It is mainly their determination, unity, and Inner lines of communication.
As well of the fact that they are taking the advantage of the fact that most Northerners are divided.
Simply speaking, Not all members of Northern alliance actively responds when their allies are under-attack. But most of you guys don't really get the fact that when their allies fall, YOU are probbly next. As well, you can not rely on other members of the Northern coalition to defend the territory for you. All of you need to take action and actively participate in fighting back against the invaders.
Comparing the Northern Coalition and the parts of "The Alliance" that's invading the north, you guys have much stronger Military strength, much stronger financial might, and more human resource. The few things that's causing you to lose your battles against the smaller force are the lack of determination and unity.
What MC, YW, and others want are taking out divided/seperated northerners 1 by 1; However, what they don't want is all of the Northerners being FULLY unified & Determined and fighting back against the invaders in one huge force.
As well, keep in mind that if you strongly believe your losing the war, YOU WILL LOSE, but if you go the opposite and believe that you are winning the war, You will WIN the war.
To sum it up, don't eagerly believe the fact that other Northern coalition members will remove the threats for you, You need to pitch in and take part in removing the threat. MC/YW/AM/etc. are not like Juggetnauts, they're just taking the advantage of fighting a group that's not fully unified and determined. Treat your neighbor's asset same as your asset, If they lose their asset and are unable to fight back, Your assets will be next. Pitch in to the fight, more people in the fight = Be prepared to risk your assets, (When MC brings their MS, they are risking their asset. To greatly reduce the chance of that asset being destroyed, They deploy Other high valued assets to protect each other and win battles.) Basically, if you have 100 dreads/carriers and the enemy has 40 dreads/carriers , Don't become conservative and deploy your capital ships partially multiple times, just deploy them all at once.
At this phase of the war, It's all or nothing, a lot of northerners are about to lose their Outposts they worked so hard on, Don't let that happen, think the amount of effort you guys put in getting the things you have now. As well, treat your northerner's outpost as yours.
This post May or May not change the tide of the war @ north. But one thing for certain, at this point of the war, you won't have much to lose in the end. (Since you're losing anyway atm).
Try something New to turn the table Northerners
Good luck.

Totaly agree with ya. We all need to work together as 1 military force. I hope members of the southern coalition are learning from the Norths mistakes. To say the north is lost is not an accurate statement. Now back to selling my loot so i can buy another combat ship.

A mothership is one of the few things you can bring out without risking anything as there is currently no way to kill them except for a huge army of nos battleships as well as a means to killing it after you have it held in one place. Titans are the other ships you can use without any risk.

not really the plagued thing. It's just mainly that a lot of them are focusing on their own self-interest instead of the Group-interest. But what they don't seem to know is that the Group-interest is a huge part of their self-interest.

If you'd spent more than a couple of day's in Querious with the 'Northern Coalition' you'd know how pointless this thread is.
They are completly incapable of working together and formulating a plan worth executing. Furthermore, they refuse to listen to anyone outside of their little circle of CEO's and Directors, even from inside their own alliance.
The amount of D2 motherships (and carriers, looking like they're leave btw) we see shuttling in and out of Branch is shocking. They proberbly have more than MC but they never use them. MM have at least one and their capital shipyard system was fairly busy the other night (its generally empty) so im willing to bet they just popped out a second.
It's looking like D2 were just another ASCN style carebear shell after all.

Edited by: Grim Faust on 22/05/2007 20:54:45 The OP is pretty much accurate. The North is failing because it's not working together. The south has a lot more driving force because they pool their assets and move around as one big blob when they need to. If one alliance falls in the north, the next one will be all the more easier to take down with one less enemy to worry about from the south's perspective. It's funny though how the south , mainly MC, came for D2 and here it is that the majority of the fights on the front are their allies losing space and not D2, not yet anyway. To be honest given the current momentum and drive of the south and non-congruent movements of the North, the North seems pretty much ******.
Whether or not a chain of command from each northern alliance is linked in some super secret cabal with some master plan, we're losing ground fast and the point of no return is approaching. If there is no master plan however, well, you can't appreciate what you had until it's gone, eh? To be fair I think it wouldn't be such a bad thing if all the territory was lost to the south.
1. It would wake up all the carebears and mooks and help clear out a lot of the dead weight.
2. The so called coalition in the south may smarten up and take from the north's mistakes and not be so anti-teamwork.
and
3. It would give the northern alliances a bigger reason to group together and retake the north and do it the right way next time. (If there is a next time) __________________________________________________ I survived CCP eating all my sigs and all I got was a crappy colorful moderator message...

I have to agree with dastommy79 in this one. If we are going to be honest about this, most of the northern coalition are nothing more but a name. The lack of cohesion with regards to mutual defense is almost non-existent.
One example is that most of the larger alliances such as D2 and IRON watched as FLA fought MC, YW and SA. Some brave alliances such as ours, 3asy Company, Sparta and Eve Animal Control stayed with FLA because we saw the larger picture at play ;however, it was too much for most of us. It was no doubt that D2 and IRON would have made a difference in the earlier engagements, but they just watched as FLA and friends got slaughtered. If IRON and D2 realized that without FLA acting as a buffer against the BoB offensive, IRON and D2 would be the next targets to be levelled. Now it seemed evident that things played like a Domino Theory, with one territory falling one after another.
In fairness to IRON, they helped, but it was too late. The tides already turned, and it was unfortunate, but if IRON realized that earlier, things would have been different.
Now with D2 acting like the war is not happening at all. It is time to wake up because it is happening. Janus' statement does not really help at all coz he needs to see that the winds of war are already here.
As for the south, let the north be a lesson. If you guys want to fight against BoB, then work together. On the other hand, if you want to fight for BoB then carry on.

to me it seems like everyone up north is trying to cover behind the others back, wich then end up in a very small minority fighting.
What they fail to realize is that they wont just go away after the weekend is over. Unlike the north the south isnt made up of carebears and weekend warriors.

Yup, the carebears are probably getting ready to welcome their new masters. Or better yet, declaring neutrality.
To the OP: Yes the north is disorganized, and yes they know it. Unfortunately they have been losing space so fast that those of us who want to get them organized have had little time to react...

To the OP: Valiant effort at rekindling the Northern Flame, but I daresay you are just about out of time. I have been watching this war closely before becoming part of it, and in my observations I have noticed:
BOB were/are not a major part of the Offensive Push made by Allied Forces. They took the Patriarch role in this war from the start which IMO was/is what will doom the Coalition. Communication amongst your Army is the first thing you need to be successful. The Coalition can say that they communicate(d) all they want, this war IMO proves otherwise. Coordination, logistics, and timing was/is not something that I have seen the Coalition master in this war.
Looking back now, If I recall correctly the first major push by The Northern Coalition was when IRON pushed into Querious full force along with other Northern entities in an effort to take out FIX, which they thought to be The Southwestern regions strongest Defender(Besides BOB itself ofc I would have to agree here.
After months of nonstop combat FIX was strained hard, and many didnt know if they would hold. MC then pushed into Pureblind. Now many would argue that this was when D2 should have made their stand. The fight for P-2TTL initially although epic in its own right was nowhere near as prolonged as it should have been. Furthermore rather then recall IRON to help in PB for some reason They kept in Querious trying to plug away at FIX.
Now, it was sometine during all of this that RA had their spat with SMASHKILL over that Mothership. IMO this is what stalled the Southern Coalitions push east towards Querious, and BOB home space. The "ooomph" factor that RAGOONS and friends had at the start of the war was not as much with them having to deal with SMASHKILL. This was a small light at the end of the tunnel for Allied Forces. This was the gap Allied Forces needed to reallocate forces east.
With BOB staying home, putting out the major fires, as well as pushing east, MCs lead in the Northern Campaign continued into FADE. Some good fights here for sure, and a bit more prolonged then Pureblind, but Allied Forces continued to pour in, and eventually dominated the Region. I dont think D2 expected the Fprce that had showed up on their doorstep. There were more Alliances then MC/YW up there, and I think this put D2 on the backpeddal
Now we step into Branch. LXWN is in Allied hands, and it seems that Northern Coalition Forces are evacuating the region daily. I still will not say the war is lost for The Coalition, but things look bleak indeed.
My outlook on the war is going to differ from many other people, and I am not going to sit here, and say that my stream of events is correct. Its what I percieve to be as I experience the war so if you disagree I respect that. Longstory short, I think D2 failed in taking the lead role in this war, and in organizing Coalition Forces. The North has some might to it, but without being unified the OP is correct in saying that they will fall 1 by 1.
