Edited by: Ling Xiao on 02/06/2007 13:36:43 I find it hilarious that any of the Coalition can complain about F-T, after what happened in JV1V. Logically, they either didn't know the server couldn't handle that kind of load (duh it already happened once ), or they expected the server to crash and hoped to take advantage of it.
So which is it, intention to crash or blinding stupidity?
I guess no one expected CCP to actually fix the crash problems __________ If you think the game is rigged, why are you still playing? |

Except you didn't use it. You moved from one region to the next, concentrating all your forces there and moving on.
If there is one thing this whole coalition campaign in the south showed, it is that divide and conquer doesn't work in EVE on a large scale.

If the coalition had tried to concentrate their capitals in 1-2 regions rather than spreading them out over 3-4, it might have ended up quite a bit different.
We divided you and conquered you.
Can you tell me who was leading the coalition? Or even can you tell me who was leading the northern coalition? Who was it that said to the north 'Lets go fight bob, and this is how we're going to do it.'?
If you can't come up with a name then there is your answer as to why the north didn't win this conflict.

you say that divide and conquer doesn't work on a large scale? The alliance split the north and south blocks of the coalition ( divided ) and has systematically conquered . Mc and co have pretty much shredded the north and bob and co have retaken all of feyth and totally conquered omist and are advancing into the neighbouring regions.
Looks like textbook divide and conquer to me. To be quite honest, if you had of blobbed up all your cap ships in one mega blob, you still would have gotten fights. Certainly wouldn't have sat on the sidelines moaning about it. Even if you make the enemy pay a few dreads per pos, it's totally worth it. Having a super capital figtht would have been awesome, letting them throw leather for however long, guns blazing, muzzles flashing, shells thundering, mmmmmmmm
The point is mute anyway it seems because you had the oppurtunity to meet the alliance forces head to head but didn't want to put your balls on the line, not intended as a flame or whatever but just how it looks

I was replying to a post in this thread 2-3 posts above mine, which claimed that it is possible to divide your opponent by attacking multiple targets at once and referred to this as 'divide and conquer'. This obviously doesn't work in the age of reinforced mode timers and jump bridges.
If you can arrange it either by diplomacy or otherwise that only a part of your opponents fight against you at the place of your choosing, that obviously helps any campaign, but doesn't have anything to do with what I was talking about.

On a large scale as pointed out above the coalition faced two fronts created by the alliance (Bob in the South, MC in the North) and even on a smaller scale, how many fronts have you been fighting on lately? I'll give you a clue, BKG and S-E.
Can you tell me who was leading the coalition or even just the northern part of the coalition btw?

I don't like MC or BoB and the ideas behind it, but what Hans Roaming writes here is true. And if you look at the forums you will find a thread of me where I from the first day on when MC attacked 'the north' urged D2 to fight back will all force - I was flamed for that quite a lot 'armchair general' 'go home' 'we are living in branch' etc.
People must unite, fight together, strengthen each other. Otherwise the road will lead only to destruction and downfall. When will they learn this lesson???

Maybe because Hans has asked what is most likely the most important question of the war. If you can't answer it, then everything else it pretty much moot. -

He probably can't answer it because when Triumvirate were involved with the northern coalition, there wasn't a clearcut leader. D2 had to be pushed to even say "hi" in the command channel, and the rest of the alliances had a mish mash of leaders without a clear cut plan. This was all during the initial assault on the south.
Obviously, this was worked on and I saw in recent months D2 communicating with Razor/MM/Iron and the fights Tri/**** had in oe- were against the entire coalition. Too little too late in my opinion. --------------------------------------

Tbh i dont think the northen coalition had a PVP comand in place for this war (Carbare's in charge of pvp operation's hmm doesnt work does it )
the thing that got to me tho was lack of suport for D2 pet's I.E FLA /CORE / IRON and all smaller allainces in north that saw D2 as they god
as i told FLA D2 wont b coming to hlp us anytime soon this was obivouse after FLA attacked CLOUD RING ( which would have been perfect supply/ stageing point to attack FOUTAIN ) The north knew FLA didnt have cap fleet and holding CR would b imposible. But no help came ( could have sent a corp or 2 to hlp guys thnx ) As MC arrived in FADE it now looks from MC war report that D2/ IRON were more conserned with getting theyer **** out of North and letting smaller allainces (FLA / CORE /and more hold bck the MC/BOB/ALALINCE advance i just wish FLA saw this ealyer and sidded with BoB / MC alalince. UWHAT knew what D2 was like from past experance and u made the right move guy's
in the 1st few months of the war there was alot chest beating from the north guys u have fought the same enemy for year's and yet u learn nothing u attacked and sent u r resorces the other end of the cluster war is won by taking and hold area AS U ADVANCE while disrupting the day to day activety's of u r enemy to lower moral for wen the big fight come's BoB played the north spot on they sucked up those 1st few assults depleteing northen supply's ( 50 caps lost 1 day hmm could been alot better ways to use caps )
we knew DEKLIEN / FADE would b fromt line in this war and if i a GRUNT could c this wtf how didnt the so called pro player's in high comand positions notice i must say tho MC u were relentless but also fair u even offerd our guys a chance to keep they space ( stupid FLA councle sticking by ppl who already condemed our allaince ) UWHAT also gained alot my respect in this war u played u r part guys good show
Thanks to D2 for all the HELP that DIDNT arive to u r friends
Soul out these r just things ive seen and notced aint got **** to do with my corp or alalince they r my thoughts ty

It is not the constant political veil that's constantly being used, it is you guys constantly going offtopic.
If you just simply stay ontopic, you¦d have a much better discussion. I guess most really have nothing to contribute to this thread.
