 In light of BOB players being realised into the forums again and the temperature of the boards returning to just below the surface of the sun I'd like to try and change the pace.
I know there are a lot of players on one side or the other of this conflict who have friends on the other side or players who they respect. So i figured id take a moment to Recognise the players i respect and hope others will follow suit:
Tholarim [Dice](BOB)
He is a great guy and a good friend. I flew with him before BOB existed and he was always a player of honor and great skill.
Dakkon [Dice] (BOB)
Great PVPer and always looks after his Corp m8's. good friend.
Dreez [Dice] (BOB)
LOL, never met a guy who could make me laugh harder. coming on at 1am ass drunk and killing 5 bs in his megathron like he was just taking a light jog.
DJtheBaron (FATAL)
Great guy and a total riot. very good PVPer
Enslaver (BOB)
legendary smack talker extraordinaire, i remember him taking an interceptor up to PA space and killing like 50 industrials in one day. This guy is legit and a riot to have in local - respect.
Please don't just limit your responses to players (my list was just to get us started) if you want to send props to a Corp or a whole alliance feel free. NO BACKHANDED COMPLIMENTS you noobs.

The first one that springs to mind is Crean Navar from CE. Top guy even if he get's emo on the forum every now and then  Anyway, he's a very old friend of mine from our NORAD days and I've always held him in the highest regard despite the fact we've been on opposing factions since we left NORAD.
I'll add what might be a surprising one to some of the tinfoil brigade and that's The Mittani from Goons. I've run an extensive spy network myself before and I know his is good so respect for that. When we bump into each other on BE's TS during a DT session we usually have a laugh exchanging comments as well, despite the public perceptions in some areas I always find he has a good perspective on our collective Eve antics.
I'd add a few more of the old CE and G FC's as well but I think most of them are inactive.
Hmmmz I'll have a think and add a few more when I've had a couple more beers

I nominate Outbreak cause they always keep their cool and don't really smack even though they pwn hard (theyre not arrogant) and they always fight against the system and make their own rules and kick everythings ass.

i'll second that for outbreak. i pass through curse often and outbreak are the cause of much strife and waiting in SS, but at the end of the day they are great guys with alot of honour. and they kick arse too.

Corak - Red Alliance
He took me under his wing after I joined Section XIII. I would roll out with the Russians since my corp mates played during EU TZ. Corak and Hassis taught me alot and I will always be grateful. Too bad they looked the other way after I left and joined Shinra.

He may be a **** but he knows his stuff. One time I saved his Vagabond from death but lost mine in the process. He kept yelling HELLO! on TS because he thought we couldn't hear him lol. He gave me ISK so I could buy a new Vaga.

I second that. I fought HUN when they were in two different alliances, and most of the time they were the last corp fighting before their alliance died or left the area. Those guys have balls.

I would like to thank:
Kiazersauze for being a great guy with extraordinary tenacity. He has been a friend since the day I started EVE. Even if its 2 years ago we have been in the same corp, we still talk each time I log on, and have great laughs.
Taz911 for being a great friend that I have known for almost 20 years.
Rift Lance for being another great swede, whom I feel we are always on the same page of things - in EVE and not.
Lodhi for being a swell and funny drunken swede.

Outbreak i have always respected as a classy opponent and nice peeps after a good scrap.
Helen - Knew long before the current war and has always been pleasant and respectful to talk to
Slinktress - Beautiful person without a bad bone in her body (puurrrrr)
I'll leave out my own alliance and corp because that would fill an entire page, theres so many folks who are pretty decent with a chat in local, especially if your drunk and they look past the bs propoganda and are actually decent people. Having said that, theres some who aren't so much, but that's for another thread

Seems most of the people that I know well ended up on the same side of this war, so it's hard to nominate individuals who I know personally and respect and are red to me :p
Anyways there's Fry Fortune from one of Goons less massive corps (Ultrapolite Societies I believe but I might have got it a bit wrong), who I know to be an awesome guy.
CELES always seemed pretty wicked people in game, when I was in -V- and they came to GW and when I joined CRII and we moved into Fountain.
And while they're not my enemies (mostly), BS.I from CoW and any other ex Dark Synergy (corp) members have my eternal love from taking me in as a noob and turning me into. . . a slightly less noobish noob. Also a lot of other ex -V- people like Pepperami :)
Oh and I should mention MACTEP, there was a time when people would judge the competence/strength of an RA gang on whether he was leading it, and rightly so.

I would say there are a few. Maybe not in the specific BOB conflict. Nebba though has been a great guy from all my conversations with them. And as LV they were on the spot when one of our carriers was going down, shows true friends when they bring in multible cap ships to try and save one.
Lemofo - always a level headed guy when I talked with him.
Clerence Thomas - One of my first CEO's in the eve world and one of the guys that helped get NUTS started.
And last but not least if I may - my buddies and my pals MY NUTS..... THIS NUTS FOR YOU!
