Originally by: CCP kieron While this issue may seem to be 'the most trivial' as one player stated, it was the first issue brought forward by the accusing player alliance and seemingly the root of their discontent.
I thought the root of discontent was that people believe that the devs are biased, that they spawn items, reward items via Roleplay events and fire reporters to the advantage of their "friends" on msn.
If there wasn't a belief of dev bias towards certain alliances then nobody would be surprised if a dev suddenly turns up in your corp one day, grants himself director access and then leaves.

2: As the joining of a corporation by a developer or GM is only done when there is an petitioned issue that requires our presence within the corporation and due to the fact that an EVEmail is automatically sent when the dev/GM leaves, our take on it was that this was not a big problem. That's certainly been disproved and from now on, any staff memebr needing to join a corporation in such a way will send an EVEmail to the corporation, announcing his presence and his intentions to the corporation. Hopefully that will ensure that such an innocent and insignificant issue does not take on such gargantuan proportions again.
Arkanon that seems most sensible, but although a dev/GM joining a corporation may seem like an innocent and insignificant to you. It should be remembered that we know members of certain alliances are in regular msn contact with devs, msn seems to being used to bypass the normal in-game petition system.
I hope you can address the core issue soon, which is the widespread belief (with some pretty strong present and past evidience) that devs/gm's are biased towards their "friends" in certain alliances. Until procedures are put in place at CCP to combat that, these issues will arise again and again.

there is nothing wrong with having a dev on msn. He could have rl friends playing this game that have him on msn. IS that wrong? NO it isn't.
Do you do favours for your rl friends? Do you like your rl friends, do you not see anything wrong with this?

When the fact was announced that the BPOs were "illegal" there was genuine shock and outrage throughout BoB. We were angry that we had been put in such a position by CCP, but we were confident that a statement would be released explaining the situation.
We are still waiting.
I think that's great that you, as a high level member of BoB, want some more investigation and a further statement released about that BoB member who was a dev and created tech II bpo's for you guys.
I'd suggest you keep posting here that that's what you want, you could also try contacting your dev friends on msn but that's probably not a good idea at the moment.

Firstly, I am not a high level member of BoB.
...
Thirdly, I don't use MSN.
Are the first point and the third point related?
