There has not been, as far as I can tell, any official police investigation into any character here (with the exception of the rumor I'm hearing about Goons and the IRS). I've highlighted in red the part that states clearly, CCP will only give out personal information to police or agencies with authority to request such information pertaining to criminal activities. Don't use something as your arguement if you do not understand what it is you are using. And even if the information was requested, it is at CCP's sole discretion whether or not to provide the request material. I hope my simple explanation of this part of their EULA gives you some insight into it's actual meaning.
...It says "private entities" before it mentions law enforcement. Would private entities include something such as an EVE corporation.. something like DS1?
But since this disclosure is at their sole discretion, CCP doesn't have to tell anyone anything if they don't want to.
