I had not heard of klepto untill recently, unfortunately my first experience with them cost me a hyperion and some time after that a dominix, had another fight with them a few days ago and managed to bring down a drake and hurricane of theirs, during all engagements with them I never recieved any ill mannered chatter in local from them, they always say good fight during or after a fight, and when sentry's deprived me of one of the kill mails, the pilot involved showed good sportsmanship and provided me with the killmail when I asked for it.
I always have respect for pirates that dont smack talk and show respect for their victims/enemies, therfore I would recomend kleptomaniacs to any wannabe or current pirates.
Seeing as infod have been mentioned here I will also mention them, they are an organisation well trained in the art of pvp and I cant take that away from them, unfortunately some of their members are very ill mannered and disrespectful and have said things to me and other old friends in local channels that are nothing short of disgraceful, on that note I'd recomend klepto over infod anyday and wish them luck in their attempt to build a mega sized pirate corp.

I think smacking in local for fun is ok as long as it doesn't cross a line.
As for INFOD, I like them. I used to be a member. But when I say that I like them, I'm speaking about my old friends, guys I have flown with and respect. Grant Smith, DaMiGe, Tassi, Dr Kojak to name a few. It was Grant and DaMiGe that gave me my first opportunity into Piracy.
I still consider them a Pirate Corp, but I'm not sure if they are a pure Pirate Corp. I do know before their recent 'purging' of inactives, they had quite a few positive sec stat members (mains not alts) amongst their ranks.
In KLPTO, we have a timetable for mains to reach -10 to show their loyalty and committment to the Outlaw life. I think thats the only difference between INFOD and KLPTO from a general standpoint.
KLPTO have quite a few former INFOD members and I'm sure still remain friends with their old Corp m8s. It is my hope that we continue this good relationship, and to avoid flaming/smacking each other's Corps on the Forums.
If it happens in good fun in space, after an engagement, this is fine. But lets not bring it here guys.

Pirates make cash with pvping but not every pirate is afraid of a fair fight, some might even enjoy them
oops, my mistake. Fact remains tho, if you're looking for a fair fight, you've chosen the wrong profession. As I said before, a true pirate wants nothing more than your loot. The pretty colors are always a bonus. It's also interesting, that everytime I pass by you infod guys, there are like 20 others nearby.
Do you know how much isk there is to made planning a large and sucessful op?
Sure a pirate wants to make isk but that does not mean we can't take risks to get that isk.
huh confused you?

I myself am tierd of all the corp bashing, INFOD is pirate corp plain and simple, sec status matters nothing to me, it never really did, unless I wanted to goto high sec.
That means I don't care if people are -3 -5 or -10, if they want to npc hunt and end up with -3 from -10 which is easyer then you might think, then I have np with that, thats what some people fail to realise with some INFOD members, I went to -6 in a few days big ******* deal, I made enough isk from it though *sigh* what ever... |

I have loved every minute of being in Klepto. This corp has soooo much promise and potential. All this and the corp is only 5 weeks old!!!...THATS RIGHT 5 WEEKS!
You can be sitting on a gate camping, get up walk 5 steps to the fridge and get your 8th beer and miss 2 kills.

Klepto, well i think they will come far also, seems very promising.
I must say you had an amazing growth of members, i have been peeking at member count a few times now and it's like exploding.
This is not surprising, i know that Tiller is capable of managing this and if i recall everything right i think i encouraged him to start a corp instead of joining one, after MAFIA disbanded. It's nice to see you actually took the step.
Seeing also that Tiller uses his experiences as member of Pirate Coalition, he is probably right about things being easier managed with a larger corp then an alliance of pirates.
It's easier to grow then ensuring quality over time. If you can keep up quality as well, then Klepto will be successful and stable.
Maybe you should do a co-op with INFOD, that would really make a fuzz and light up a few systems on the map ?
Good luck with the corp.

all i've seen of this corp is ganking and blobs who run away from us as soon as we have half the number of ships they have. The other week they had a gate camp with about 10 bs, we went in with 5 and they ran just shows they might be the biggest but they certainly arent the best. Btw tiller stop smack talking in local
And 2 House of Tempers MAchariels and 1 House of Tempers Vindicator ran from Gus Prestons single neutron mega.

Tiller you got some work ahead of you, I give you my best wishes in succeeding and I will also venture so far as to give you a friendly advice. "Do not run out of targets!"
When you grow big and the corp consists of evil sharks you would like to give them a steady supply of fish, or they will swim elsewhere. Why do you think we have been fighting alliances (at least two at a time) lately?

The last time i ran into Klepto's We were running a gang consisting of 8 members in ships not be bigger than a BC. Just a suicide gang willing to lose crappy ships and have some fun.
We approach Auga gate and are informed there is a camp in the system. 7-8 Klepto's command ships and BS's. We decide to have some fun and get our arses kicked but try to take out a couple in the process. So in we jump, get into warp arrive at location and guess what? nobody there. As soon as local jumped they fled to stations and ss's.
Now if you are saying tiller that this behaviour from your corp is to lead to you being the best pirate corp in eve then you are mistaken.
You may have the respect of INFOD and a few other pirates that are brown nosing you but to truly be great you have to gain the respect of the rest of us.
And by the way, IMO INFOD out pirate you anyday.

Generalizations ftl. Pirates are those who kill for profit. Some are lazy and fight when the odds are stacked in their favor, otheres fight outnumbered (sometimes 1:4 odds, and win) and work harder for their loot. Neither are "bad pirates," though one is more successful than the other... ------------------- NFF Recruitment

The point was, that taking unnecessary risks, for the sake of glory, is ill-advised for a player who makes a living killing. If you lose that ship, you'll need a replacement, with fittings. If you keep going gung-ho, you'll be out of isk in a pretty short amount of time (unless you're selling gtc's).

oh yes running missions and mining is unfathomably more intresting than camping a gate isn't it...
Mono-cultures tend to fail over time. I think a good mix is best.

I do not believe you or anyone else in your corp can justify who is ôpureö and ônot pureö pirates. No offense to your new foundations but it's not like a large portion of your members wont be or have been caught killing NPC's and mission running for income. (I'm using your logic here not mine)
Just to add to another comment mentioned in a previous post. Industrial activities does not define having a ôpoorö pirate outfit. Matter of fact, it's shameful that most pirate organizations don't have more industrial sections mining and making ships for those pirates to lose. However, that's more on poor leadership than intelligence.
Good luck on whatever you do...
