Yea, no doubt others have hit this mark already. May even be others that have hit this mark without using exploits. I'm just here to say that it's a legitimate mark to have hit at this point in the game. I have known of a couple of skillpoint cheats including the one described above, and I'm sure there have been others that I have never heard of, but I haven't used them. My points are clean.
I'd be interested in knowing what the top skillpoint figure really is...maybe I can close the gap

Edited by: Tripoli on 31/01/2004 16:13:39 Congrats. I'm what one might call a skill junkie, but I got into EVE about a month after release, so I'm a bit behind on skill points. Therefore, I have spent a considerable amount of effort trying to get the most skills.
I currently have 140 skills spread between 9.1 million skill points. I still lack Astronautic Engineering, Diplomacy, Scrapmetal Processing, Empire Control, Interceptors, and Frigate Construction. And I don't have any creation-only skills.

Tripoli, you have an impressive collection of skills...the most I've heard of. I'm up to 65 total skills after my shopping spree today. I finally picked up most of the new science skills (I'm missing 4 also).
Oh yea, and thanks for the great insights, Karga, but no worries, I won't die.
And Tank, you'll have to trust me for now. I'm not big into posting pics, so I need to figure out where to upload a screenie so that I can link it to this forum.

Only a few over 50 and you have 10M skills. That my friend is very admirable.
Taken from the May 29th 2003 Devchat at EveGate . <Muaddid> Q: When will sentry gun and station and similar construction pods be introduced on the market? <Hellmar> we have various player owned entities already implemented. Sentry guns, power/shield generators, field repair mini-stations, mobile refineries. We are still working out the last tidbits of how they can be over taken, what is the penalty of having a sentry gun kill a n00b etc. and we have been a bit busy with plugging the holes that people have found.I would say that you'd start to see these items on the market in about 2-3 weeks, very expensive to begin with |

You look to be extreemly specialized. What do you do for a living in EVE and is this your only account? You can't even fly a cruiser.

Wow. That's pretty concentrated skilling there. I'm not to the 10 million mark yet, but here's what I've got so far.

Hehe...yes, very specialized by design...I have several accounts. This one is built strictly for refining, manufacturing and research. Dr C spends the majority of his time in various station office locations, travels with an escort on rare trips through unsecure space, and needs only a shuttle to move from point to point. And a shuttle has more than enough cargo space to carry bps and skillpacks

If your other accounts are as specialized as Dr C, I think you chose a poor skill procession path. Nevertheless, it is a distinctive feat No one ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country! |

You could have had quite a few more skill points.
looking at your points, you haven't managed to max out quite a lot of skills from just flying your ship about. You could have easily picked up a 1 or 1.5M more skill points.
Unfortunately I only have about 136 skills, 9.2M skill points.
Missing cruise missile, 2 battleship skills, and empire control. Otherwise I have all the skills buyable and one or two drop only ones. (Doh forgot jump drive operation also)
Diplomacy and Criminal Connections being those. Nothing to see here .... move along. |

But you didn't say how old YOU, the person behind the account, are to eve. Would be pretty easy to make a new char... get a kestrel... get skills to cruise missiles... and go out in groups and kill BSs. So your not impressive.

Well, if you started in May 2003, you can't have trained skills for the entire time.
If you didn't start back then, well no wonder you're a bit behind.
