Well, we have t2 barges, but I would love to see something as epic for the industrialists as pirates and fighters have.

Goods odds they want to make sure it's a ship that brings something new to mining rather than bring a simple uber miner, especially since it's been proven that high cost and logistics is simply not as major a barrier to creating fleets of caps as first thought.

I just want something with a jumpdrive, a big cargo hold, that can dock and gives bonuses to the mining gangs. Dont have a use for a mobile refinery (was utterly disappointed from the pos refining array) just give me a method to get my ores to a refinery outpost in one go and some bonus to my hulks and im happy.

I forget which Dev Blog/post mentioned it but a Dev did say that the capital industrial will not be an uber-ore-sucker. Seems the Hulk will remain king of the hill for that.
I agree a mobile refinery seems a waste unless it is somehow better at it than a POS refinery which I doubt.
A cap ship that grants bonuses to miners? You can do that with a BC/CS today so what need of the cap ship?
What's left after that? Jump drive freighter is all I can think of that would be useful.

None of the BC/CS gives a bonus to the mining foreman links only to warfare links. I would just love to kill two birds with one stone and fill up that gap.

Nah, i dont have a use for all those hangars or fighters when mining, i would prefer a 300-500k cargo hold that i could fill up with GSCs. Btw not that much room for differences with a capital ship.

Yeah...kinda bogus that a carrier as usurped the hauler role from dedicated haulers.
But still, a carrier cannot carry battleships or bigger IIRC. A jump drive freighter would presumably be able to do that.

a freighter with a jumpdrive would be a nice addition, as would a hauler somewhere between a freighter and an industrial. (100-250km3 base hold, no jump drive)

Even if a mobile refinery isnt as efficient, you waste time hauling bulky ore instead of just taking the finished product minerals.
I'm waiting for some sort of proxy module-system where miners ore gets teleported/transfered automatically into a refinery ship's hold with audit logs that you can export/paste how much everyone mined and distribute/track EASIER.
Anything is an improvement to jetcan mining/hauling w/manually tracking.

If i can jump to the next refining outpost with 200k+ of ore in one go i dont really mind that kind of hauling. Yeah, maybe it would be a bit of time waste but im very sure it would also safe quite a bit of otherwise wasted mins (refinery efficientcy).

I'd like to see mobile lab and manufacturing ships, so a mobile refinery would be nice too, think of the fleet dynamics of moving through low sec or 0.0 able to secure territory as needed without a pos

Thats what i said in a previous post for industrial capital ship.
Hulks does enough damage already and there is no need for a capital ore succor. The ideal (for me) indy capital ship is that one which can store a bunch of mining ships, a bunch of frigates (for cyno and personal transport), have a decent drone cargo (up to heavies) for some self/gang defense, have the ability to get and opperate at same time all the mining links (laser, drone, ice) like a mining director into a capital ship, and have a huge cargo to store the ore (this part needs alot of discuss).

A combat-competent T2 Exhumer is what I'd like to see.
Something that is *not* easy prey for every Frigate that wants to cause trouble when it's solo. Something that has a good bite on it.
That'd do more to get people who aren't pirates into low sec than just about anything else I can think of.

Well, they're taking away your static belts and making you hunt for your supper. Tough love is a *kind* of love.
Seriously though, the hauler carrier has become even more ridiculous than the mining apoc was, admit that we need a dedicated ship for that role and build it. People will just keep repurposing carriers for that role anyway if you don't, and it's sad to see warhorses used to pull icewagons.

Edited by: Spy4Hire on 31/05/2007 12:37:28 Oh great... We already have 3 day old nuubs in retrievers, 1 month old nuubs in covetors, 3 month old nuubs in Hulks. All with gibberish names and all in a nuub school.
Now you want to give them access to Mothership Mining Monsters? Come on. First Lady Reagan had the operant phraze for this: Just say NO.
Also: Disallow barge & freighter use in Nuub schools. Limit mission agents to 1 & 2. Disallow freighter use in NPC corps. Cut mining laser yeild by 40% in NPC corps. Limit mission agents to 1-3.

Maybe they could tie the industrialist mining addition into the stealth bomber utility upgrade.

Completely useless, people would create one man corps to avoid those problems. And nerfing one man corps isn't possible without creating a major uproar, since one man corps are a viable way to play.
And as far as the capital ship goes, last time I saw people speaking about it, it was supposed to be a mobile refining ship... which would be great, since it'll diminish the volume of the stuff to bring back, therefore increasing profits.

This is a blessing to miners, upping the number of hidden belts in a system and removing the static ones.
It means if your in a low sec system in a belt, a pirate has to spend an hour with probes tracking you down.
Unless these belts are going to be VERY easy to find, in which case there would be no point removing the static ones in the first place.
If I were a miner killer type, i'd be very angry
