I had to kill a late 2003 character.. sigh, after I lost the battle with the GM team to have him re-named.
Oh Well, I am very happy with Jinx Barker now, and plan to keep him till the servers shut down.

My alt is called Jenny's Boy, and is called thusly because my girlfriend of the time wanted me to stop playing Eve and you know... talk to her and stuff. Totally unreasonable I know, but that's women. I created JB to mollify Jen for a few days.
Of course i'm not with Jen anymore (and no it was NOT amicable) and I kinda wish I didn't have to stare at that everytime I log him in. I know it's entirely my fault for calling him that, but still.

I have made several scanner alts all using some Gothic Metal band name. I also had one character as a rather funny, but sadly quite insulting name. It was designed to get a good chuckle from me, my friends, and a couple people a met. Well, it was petitioned and is gone. But was quite humorous. Hurry for throwaway looters that I never throw away... I liked the picture of this char!!

When I name a character for an online game I always assume that I'm going to stay in the game for the duration (which is rarely true, but there you go). I've been known to spend a few days thinking up a name, which can be quite a challenge particularly coming as a new character to a mature game with oddles of players on a single shard.
