My alt is called Jenny's Boy, and is called thusly because my girlfriend of the time wanted me to stop playing Eve and you know... talk to her and stuff. Totally unreasonable I know, but that's women. I created JB to mollify Jen for a few days.
Of course i'm not with Jen anymore (and no it was NOT amicable) and I kinda wish I didn't have to stare at that everytime I log him in. I know it's entirely my fault for calling him that, but still.

I have made several scanner alts all using some Gothic Metal band name. I also had one character as a rather funny, but sadly quite insulting name. It was designed to get a good chuckle from me, my friends, and a couple people a met. Well, it was petitioned and is gone. But was quite humorous. Hurry for throwaway looters that I never throw away... I liked the picture of this char!!

When I name a character for an online game I always assume that I'm going to stay in the game for the duration (which is rarely true, but there you go). I've been known to spend a few days thinking up a name, which can be quite a challenge particularly coming as a new character to a mature game with oddles of players on a single shard.

Have used this one in games since I was about 13, and playing old D&D or any RPG games.
But that being said it is always after the event that new names come up, as you explore the game I have seen some very cool Freighter pilots names.
As for other names wish I had known more about the Khanid as I would have played with the dark side of Amarr

I love my name. Although I did have to terminate my first character as I misspelt the surname. Although with walking in stations coming I am going to be spending time looking at my ugly slightly gimp character wondering why I did go 'transgender' and have me one of those 'tastfull' gallente women....
I also wanted to create a Smuggler alt called The Snowman but it was taken. Then when typing it here I thought damn it Crash Snowman... would have been an excellent name.

Janu Hull has been my primary gaming name since the Neverwinter Nights random name generator gave it to me in early 2000. Nice neutral name that's worked in every genre I've played so far.
Pity a guy in my SWG guild used it, but I'd love to get Lar-Ji Rektion.

Same name, no matter the game:) Found Grunanca a good name for a Rodian in SWG. Just used to have Ohisha as my last name in that game. Also I have never had any trouble using it in any games as I made it up completely myself.

Though I'm happy with my name, for the first time ever since I started with MMOs, I'd like to have an alt named "Washington Irving". He'd make a nice forum alt TBH.
That would be AWESOME.
