This is aimed at those who have seen some proper action with alliance fights. If u could hand pick a tottal of 80 ships for an arranged fight what would it be?
Both sides have a choice on points/ or ship class numbers ie 25 caps, 25 bs, 3 command ships, 7 recon/ 10 bc/hack 10 frig/ dictors.
U make the rules, or change tottal numbers. The main aim to train ur fleet to deal with hard battles. This could be done on the test server but would be much better played out with a fight only halting on the capitols( ie when they hit hull they are out since they cost so much) but all other ships can be killed. letting the smaller stuff die will sting but gives everyone the other side u cant get from a test server.
Im mainly looking for people who have fc ed in those type of fights or understood the nitty gritty of the whole battle and ship class uses. If u think it has to be at a poss, so be it and therefore what extra ships for the attackers and how would u start it.
If new alliances go fresh into a war withought knowledge it can cost them too much before they learn how to get stuff done.
So lets say the small rodent alliance is blue and next door they have friends, the smaller furry stuff alliance. Both alliances have been busy little badgers and created lots of isk (enough to throw some about) but very little pew pew experience. They both say lets have a friendly...what would u arrange to train them for harder times to come.

Depends WHERE.
if 0.0, without super-capital class ships, I would have a few carriers, front line repping class, mostly battleships, all with points, and some snipers, and some light catch.
But thats me.

are bs still the daily bred and butter ? well I meen I think even then a few capitols might be nice since they seem to be a key in the whole holding space thingy, Even if u had 5 carriers, it adds to the remote repping learning curver

Capitals are still being used more and more, however they are dieing at a insane rate as well. Battleships are the most affordable heavy hitters, just.

Well it depends
In a lag free environment, i would have a sniper group and a close range group. Snipers go in first, try and clear as much support as possible, and after a few moments the close range group is given the order to move in, also deploying drones.
However, as it stands, in eve atm its better to keep the BS group together at around 150 to 160km. Support takes out enemy support in alphabetical order (or you can order support to stick with the BS and kill any support that gets close) and you call targets for the BS.
So i would choose
5 Eagles (Insta pop them dam enemy dictors) 60 BS (mix of megas temps apocs maelstroms, NO Domi's, phoons, ravens) 2 Dictors 3 Cov ops 10 Ceptors

In that situation arranging freighter runs would be more usefull than an arranged fight tbh.
When running gangs of people who arent prepared for a serious war the biggest problem is to keep the discipline during the long hours it takes before an engagement finally happens. Most "noobs" will get bored after the first few days in a large conflict and stop logging in much or will rapidly loose the TS discipline after the first dull moments.
