Dear customers, future customers and everyone.
POSwatch is about to do something really stupid. we will cut our prices dramatically, we will offer more simple solutions to our customers, in exchange of more functionality and improved software. stupid, isn't it? we are going to do it anyways...
for future deals you will receive the same functionality as before, the full POSwatch access, with way more towers. there will only be two packages from now on, 50 POS package and unlimited POS package. there will only be two prices for this, 100 million for the 50 POS package, 200 million for the unlimited POS package. the prices will be per corporation, alliance deals will no longer be available. the good thing is, you pay the full amount up front, and you can freely use the full service our software offers for one full year.
why are we doing this? the answer is simple. we created a very good tool for EVE, and the management of our services is by far too complicated at the moment. better than dropping it completely we offer it for a bargain price so at least the software will be used, without creating the workload of a intensive customer support.
it will be easier for the customers, and it will be less hassle for us at POSwatch Inc. for all the coporations who have running deals with us, this is not going to affect your deal, you can however upgrade your package to one year duration by paying the difference to your deal in ISK. whatever you already paid will be fully taken into account. please contact us via EVE mail about it.
kind regards, on behalf of the whole POSwatch team, Christian

There's probably a better place to mention this and/or it has already been discussed, but I wanted to throw my two cents in. I've been using the software for about a month now and it's a great program. One thing I'd really like to see is the ability to store the resources you have available, not just currently fueling your POS. That way, I would have a better idea of how long my reserves will sustain me and when I need to go out and buy some more fuel. Other than that, the product is pretty much perfect.

thx for the hint, i will forward it to our main programmer. for the time being i suggest you create a corp hangar, name it my ressources without assigning it to a tower, and use the refuelling calculator enabling the useage of said hangar. would do the job i think, still it is kind of a workaround...

well, sorry if i sound like an ISK seller, wasn't aware of that, but one thing granted, we will keep all the ISK for our own.
also, we are at the stage of being of the opinion to have created something great, and now that our original business plan kinda failed, giving it to whoever wants it at a bargain price so at least the work of our programmer pays off in a way. not exactly what an ISK seller would do... profits from POSwatch are moderate for now, and tbh, we have enough ISK in game already ;-)

Good question - I would recommend that if that is an issue, you maintain the information about 'system', planet, and moon in a private spreadsheet, and simply invent a code-name for each tower that would be used by the POSWatch system. Then no one will know where your towers are without stumbling onto them.
Nice idea for the software, guys. Sad I didn't think of it myself ).

we had a few questions like this in the past months, check the replies in this thread for some answers. the data (all data) is stored encrypted, and only the one with access to your account will read it decrypted. not even our DB admin could take a short look, at least that's what he told me. how it works exactly will be kept secret. then again, as the above poster said, you do not need to give vital intel to POSwatch. you can give codenames for the towers and back them up in a high sec section of your boards. it is as likely your boards get hacked as POSwatch is getting hacked. with the logger you have the possibility to check who accessed your data at what time and everything, so if there was unauthorized access you have the chance to find out and tell us about it. we can provide you with a lot of information to get a hold on the intruder afterwards if needed.
it is quite safe, i really believe this and this is why our mains corp use the software themselves, being very successful with it in all terms of POS, industry, warfare, sov, logistics, ...

I am interested in use of faction towers and sovernty. Have they been incorporated into your program. How do we select a sovernty level and do we have to set it manually or is it automatic?

faction towers: no problem at all sovereignty: of course how to set sovereignty: since there is no interaction with the server at all, you have to set the levels manually.

Wednesday is the third day of the week in most western countries and the fourth day of the week in the Judeo-Christian calendar, between Tuesday and Thursday. The name comes from the Middle English Wednes dei, which is from Old English Wēdnes dµg, meaning the day of the Germanic god Woden (Wodan) who was a god of the Anglo-Saxons in England until about the 7th century. Wēdnes dµg is like the Old Norse O=insdagr ("Odin's day"), which is an early translation of the Latin dies Mercurii ("Mercury's day"). Although Mercury (the messenger of the gods) and Woden (the king of the Germanic gods) are not equivalent in most regards, both gods guided the souls of the dead to the underworld.
