The Northern Coalition started losing ground, and instead of being evicted, they removed themselves from the war to stay put. So, when the opportunity arose to aquire more space, they took it, like anyone else would have. (Goons and Cloud Ring anyone?) So, eve-search.com is a valueable tool, and search for "Sparta Announcement" in CAOD. They made the official retraction there. They also declared their neutrality in the same thread. At the time of this war Sparta was originally on IRON's side, and when the oppurtunity to try and grab some free stations presented itself in NFC offering them the stations via putting the NFC holding corp in their alliance and by default the POS's and the Stations...they then announced themselves "neutral in the war" allowed the NFC corps to join them... and they grabbed at the stations, and came back with air and bloody stumps... As Seleene already mentioned earlier in this post, the towers in the Branch stations went offline due to D2 not refueling them, so Sparta just used the oppertunity that came along. If not for them im sure someone else would have taken it.

(we had intel and were planning on facing three, but that turned out to be incorrect - and we had no expectation of being able to borrow a BOB Titan for a day or two every three weeks at that point) A Mothership is just a ship with some special abilities .. in low sec, its an "I Win" but in 0.0 you have to risk losing it to use it. When someone actuall uses Moms AGAINST MC in a situation where they are putting them on the line, we get rather excited at the prospect of the mods they have fitted. Myn

I did a standings reset because we were being shot by....oh yeah .. blues from the northern coalition .. hmm .. kinda hard to be a backstabber when the people you just set red started shooting first . And yeah .. ended up with a couple of extra stations in branch without firing a shot! .. Pre planned annex of D2 stations? .. uh .. was actually more like a midafternoon MSN message from one of my leads saying "Dude, D2 just unanchored all of thier pos's in 1ix and k-8 today .. sov will drop after DT .. WTF ? Should we get some towers in there?" Records will show that not a single Spartan POS was deployed till AFTER the last D2 pos was removed from system and we did not steal a single one that was being unanchored. Guess they were trying to get every last isk out of their regions as they packed up and abandoned RZR and MM. Gee whiz, and to think i used to idolize these people. Yet IRON (you know, those people that set a record for loosing their entire region in 1 day and have now reset standings on all their former residents)and D2 say we abandoned them. More like D2 was upset Sparta didn't get attacked first so that they could pop out that last mothership which ended up dieing 3 days from completion. Yup .. Sparta was not the well behaving meatshield that was expected of us .. get over it Short version is that Sparta is on noone's leash. I have established NAP's with some of my new neighbors in response to the RESPECT and friendship that they have extended to us. I have never changed standings without provocation and that is the way I will continue to be known in eve. That said, Sparta is waking up from some well deserved sleep. We have been poked and prodded .. and now we will respond .. stay tuned for the next chapter in Sparta history. BTW : about the mommies .... that one ain't none of your business :P .. but 2 eh? .. now i know where that leak is

Records will show that not a single Spartan POS was deployed till AFTER the last D2 pos was removed from system and we did not steal a single one that was being unanchored. Guess they were trying to get every last isk out of their regions as they packed up and abandoned RZR and MM. Gee whiz, and to think i used to idolize these people. Yet IRON (you know, those people that set a record for loosing their entire region in 1 day and have now reset standings on all their former residents (pot .. kettle .. black?))and D2 say we abandoned them. More like D2 was upset Sparta didn't get attacked first so that they could pop out that last mothership which ended up dieing 3 days from completion. Yup .. Sparta was not the well behaving meatshield that was expected of us .. get over it Short version is that Sparta is on noone's leash. You declared neutrality claiming "please donÆt shoot us, D2 made me do it" and then you jumped to grab some land, while MC and allies were to busy fighting D2 to actually do something about it, and D2 was to busy defending home. And at that time D2 was already packing thier stuff up to bail. The night I made my decision was the night that 20+ D2 freighters went from BKG to empire twice before it was even under attack. It was clear at that point D2 had no real intention of putting up a fight. No, I rephrase that, CE stood and put up a last ditch effort, the rest of them were too busy packing their bags. And I was supposed to loose everything to defend their evacuation? LMAO I had no ill feelings twords MM and especially RZR until MM started threatening me and then shooting at us .. the rest as they say, is history. WTB .. a clue for most of the people posting in this thread :) Last thing... Spartans, outta this thread!

Please take some time to reflect on this fact before continuing to make fools of yourselves, and only pushing other potential allies away from you. If you could only read the things said of you in the forums of people that still have you set blue. Your roaming gangs are an excellent idea for finding pew pew on your terms and wearing down your enemies. They should come to hate their newfound home. I also strongly advise you to have all your pvp'ers log on sisi and practice the new pos tactics as a gang. You can make it prohibitively expensive for your enemies to maintain sov and station services :P A lot of things are changing with Rev2, and BOB is going to lose some very important advantages. They will come to need capable allies more than ever. Which means that they will want to maintain ties with their northern friends but possibly break ties with their incapable southern pets.
