The goal of the Ship is to travel as fast as possibel via autopilot over many jumps.
If my research is correct the best Ship should be:
Claw (Minmatar Interceptor)
Fitted with 4 Overdrive Injectors II
Rigs:
Either 2 Low Fiction Nozzle Joints (Agility Improvment)
Or Maybe Auxilary Thrusters (+ speed)
I guess the Low Fiction Nozzle Joints would be a fair bit better as with those the ship would align faster and even more important accelerate faster :)
With that setup and Navigation to 5 the ship should go 1068 m/s
An improvment of nearly 71% over a ordinary shuttel :)
Alignment should be about the same speed (?)
+ faster Warp speed ofc
Hm so how much improvment do you think that would actually give over a shuttel? I mean a lot of the travel time is used by accelerating when starting to warp and while dropping out of warp + jumping and short wait till next sytem loads... For warp Distances assume an average of 40AU between Gates (Empire)
Any thoughts, comments, better ships/setups? :)

Ares,dunno set-up since i prefer to use gallente shuttles

Hm Ares has only base-speed of 450 m/s, while the Claw has 475 m/s both have 4 low slots for the Overdrive Injectors. Thus the Claw is faster than the Ares ;)

You want speed rigs not agility. Aligning and acceleration is very quick already you want to maximize the speed getting to the gate after you come out of warp. Use speed rigs.

i use the claw aswell. shuttles r usless 10m3 cargo bay 4tl
claw= more speed more cargo

Yes it works but when I petitioned it for its legailty, the GMs said that while it is technically legal, they would appreciate if I refrained from doing it so I am not. Even if it is practical, it IS metagaming. Toothpick-macro 4tl.

Ares or Claw
Nanos in low slots (speed + faster into warp)
(overdrives will increase max velocity, wich means the ship will need more time to reach warp speed)
Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizer rigs (if most time is spent in warp, this is where the time can be saved)

Keep an eye on the warp-speed too. Each race got one inty which warps at 9 au/s, and one which warps at 14 au/s.
My fast ship is the Ares. Got nanos in the low and 2 warpspeed-rigs which gives it a warp speed og 19,6 au/s.
Thats the fastest way to travel when not afk (warp to 0). The rigs only pay out on medium to long warp distances between the gates.
For afk flight use a claw with half nanos, half overdrives in the low and velocity rigs.
