(GFX Card) NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600 Ultra (Display) 1600x1200/32bit/100Hz (Monitor) LG Flatron F900P 19"
runs fine even in battles, tbh i've not had lag. Not even going in to a battle with 10 ships with drones. Jumps for a split seconds then i can see everything :p -------------------------

17" Flat Panel at 1280x1024 with a GeForce4 FX5200 and a P4 2.8ghz. My only problem is that the sun flickers like crazy when i look at it. My old Radeon was fine except the fps sucked. ----------------------------------- about:blank |

Just dumped my POS CTD'ing Radeon 9500 Pro and got an Nvidia 5700 Ultra. Not a glitch in 3 weeks.

Edited by: Hanns on 14/01/2004 14:02:17 1280x1024 17" CRT, GF4 Ti-4600 windowed most the time, full screen in battles, i get averages 30-40 fps widescreen of (its ghey) interlace off, 24 bit and thats it!
Quote: I just tried eve full screen, with 6x fsaa, 16x antiscopicwhatever filtering, and best image quality possible.
this was a first for me.
my roomates, who also play eve, and myself, were very impressed. it was so beautiful.

P4 2.7GhZ. 512 DDR. 400mhz
Videocard : TI4600 128mb 60hrz fps isn't that smooth when you spin your camera around, shocking if you watch it really close... And zooming in doesn't go smooth but from point to point, but who cares...
I play at 1200x1024 or 1600x1200 at a 19" screen.
My second system is a Geforce 4 MMX, 64mb 60hrz amd 1000 mhz 512sdram
I used to use a 14" screen since that was the only monitor that still fit on my table, but yesterday it exploded and now the only proof it was in my house is the nice smell of melt plastic and parts. __________________________

According to fraps, I get about 50-60 fps, dropping to about 10-30 with many ships/drones on screen..

Athalon 64 3200+, 9700 Pro. I run Eve at 1240 x 1024 fs on a 19" Viewsonic crt. Silky frame rate. Never tried 1600x1200 figuring the text would be completely illegibile.
Wife plays on a P4 2.0 with 9000 Pro. It does okay at 1024 x 768 but chugs likes a steam engine when drones are on screen (especially post Castor).
Gonna upgrade that one to FX5900 and see if it doesn't make a difference. --------------

Running desktop at 1600x1200 with Eve @ 1280x1024 windowed.
Using a P4 3.2Ghz/800FSB 1GB RAM NEC 22" MultiSync FE2111SB Flat CRT GeForce FX 5900 Ultra 2 160GB SATA in RAID 0
All of the details are up high, fraps says I'm getting around 30fps without a record. When record kicks in it drops to around 15-20fps.

17" NEC LCD running at 1280x1024 Running a Intel 2.4C @ 3240mhz with 2gigs of ram @ 216mhz or ddr432 Herculies 9800Pro @ 400/368 With 16x anisotrohic filter and 2x-6x ffsa (depending how lazy I am to switch it between other games)
Runs silky smooth except fleet battles (20 ships wiht drones is crazy). If I was in window mode 1152x864 but doesn't work right now acts extremly slow for some reason.

Left screen 21" flat Sony P202 CRT running 1280 x 1024 @ 85Hz - This is the main Eve monitor. Running Eve windowed 1152 x whatever using 24 + 8 alpha
Right screen 19" Hitachi TFT running 1280 x 1024 @ 60Hz - This is where everything else runs.
TBH the picture quality on the CRT is still better than on the TFT looks great without AA or AF, and runs pretty smoooooooooooooth

Edited by: Joshua Calvert on 14/01/2004 17:42:43 I run an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro with a desktop resolution of 1280 x 960 but I run Eve windowed with a resolution of 1152 x 864.
My monitor is an Iiyama Vision Master Pro 413.
I've tried running it "larger" but there's no real improvement in usability.
No idea about performance figures but I suffer absolutely no video lag.

If i run EVE through my 21" TFT Monitor i get a max res of 1600 x 1200.
If i run it through my laptop i get a max res of 1900 x 1200 widescreen.
My GFX card is an NVidia GeForce4 4200 Go 64Mb. Amazing card since i get very good fps even at the highest res's.

Radeon 9800 Pro,19" monitor 1280x1024, high detail. Athlon 1700+, 512meg ram.
Will upgrade to 3000+ & 1gig of ram.
Frame rate is good, nice and smooth. But even if it wasn't the extra space at 1280 is so worth it... - Ka Dargo. [ 2005.04.10 14:41:05 ] Your 425mm Railgun II perfectly strikes Dread Pith Massacrer, wrecking for 1271.6 damage.

And Eve looks pretty good and runs pretty smooth, even though everything's 2-3 years old.

I use 1024x768 mode (32 bit color) on an old Gateway 17" monitor (don't laugh... it looks great as long as you don't go above 1024x768) and a Radeon 8500LE card (also plenty good enough for 1024x768). Frame rate is actually fine considering my old 1.2 GHz Athlon CPU, though I suspect a large fleet battle would be a bit jerky.
One nice thing about an old monitor... you don't need a top-end card to get top performance from it. It's not like I want to squint at 1600x1200 on a 17" screen anyway...

I run Eve @ 1280x1024 windowed most of the time on a 9800 Pro (128mb). Using the Omega drivers and settings in game and on the card at full, no issues to report unless in combat with a whole lotta ships.
