They were on the brink of death more times than I can count. I have been around EVE from almost the beggining and in major alliances for a very long time. Xelas is the worst alliance I have ever seen in everything but the mysterious ability to keep on living just to get free access to space they never deserved. At least CFS had its principles and was decently strong in its begginning even if it ended up being no more impressive on a general level.

I agree that Xelas was not strong as a self-sustaining alliance. But, do not think for one second that there are not good pilots in Xelas. While Doomsday corp did not put up much resistance, Setenta brought the fight sometimes.
Good luck to some good pilots. It is no fun when your allies turn on you.

I can tell you as the leader of Aftermath... No Xelas corps will be allowed. We are a different type of alliance then Xelas. We believe in a small number of larger corps and not a large number of corps.
Having said that... there are some people in Xelas that we would let in as players..
It's always funny seeing people write crap that they know nothing about. Oh and btw we don't live in Fountain anymore...

All of you "coalition" guys can call Xelas all the names you want but if you didn't like Xelas so much why didn't you go and kick them out of there yourselves? BoB wasn't around much when D2 went to fountain and we all know how long D2 managed to stay there. Sure, now you're probably going to call D2 names too. Seems to me there are a lot of name callers around here.
There are some good people in Xelas and I feel sorry for them.

simple they want the Ra, Goons, and Co. to pickup Xelas so when Rev2 hits the Xelas players switch back to BOB giving them more space and a foothold in RA/Goon space.
Kicking Xelas out does not having anything to do with Rev2 on terms of Sov. because BOB could take Sov. and keep Xelas in fountain.
Just my .02 cents I would not trust a Xelas player as far as i could toss Xirtamvotf around in his wheelchair

well, the ppl that fought in xelas, left long ago.
now you would see almost all of them hiding instread of fighting for their lands - having their friends axe and fatal do all the work.
of course there are a few in xelas that help, but its not enough for an alliance, if even for a corp, to count.
i agree with what baun has written mostly,
and i also think xelas wont hold a month without fountain, or jsut will be a shell of an alliance being in empire running missions all day.
but its noteworthy that a few good corps came out of xelas, and managed to grow happily and fight with us,
correct me if im wrong, but i think it was mitch taylors corp dark and light? - awesome guys if you ask me.

I've thought about accepting one into our corp and setting the tax to 100% just to see how long it takes them to figure out they are working as a charity service. Anyone tried that?
I can't remember if it was the isk farmer we killed or another one that snuck in. but anyways we were doing a pvp op so I set the tax rate to 100%. Well this farmer kept ratting, got some pretty killer spawns. Think when he finally realized what was going on he had made us over 50 mill, then he logged off. We all got a good laugh at it.
