Xelas is the worst alliance in the history of EVE to have survived as long as it has. They survived only at the whim of BoB and, presuming BoB doesn't let them move to another part of its space or otherwise defend them, they will now die. Good riddance. The Enemy's Gate is Down

Good riddance. i disagree, xelas actually meant "something" up till like +- 6-9 months ago, there are far worse alliances in eve. for example KOS and TS, who never were any different then xelas is today. ------------------------ Stop reading my siggy!

I'd say forcing them out to get 2 free Outposts is a betrayal, just like when they forced the Horde out to set up their own outpost.... hmmm Horde being forced to put an oupost and Horde being evicted has much more to it than the OP question... lemme summarize it: 1- BoB my have mentioned it as a reason for eviction, if it is so then that reason is pure bull, Horde would have eventually put up an OP if DICE hadnt gonne in everyones back and put theirs in fountain where Horde was due to put up its one (BoB wont say that DICE went on everyones back but they have to maintain a certain cohesion when it comes to the outside view) 2- Horde was expeled cause 1 of its corps was macro farming in delve, that corp was kicked right away BUT BoB still evicted Horde from fountain, 2d later the same macro farmers were joining XS and were left there till this day. 3- XS are double dealing, when Horde was evicted XS was definetely gloating in local and making everything possible (harassing, using bubble to prevent warp to g95 OP, difficulting removing of equip from fountain from Horde) to **** Horde, which they finally did and Horde started shooting on XS 4- XS always tried to lay claim to Griffin that at the time was a BoB concession to The Huns, they did so by sending a corp there despite knowing The Huns held Sov. there by BoB consession, the only person which had any power to negotiate that asset was me (or BoB) which we never did, so Blue Flame is a a backstabber in my book. 5- XS always had an issue with Huns and Horde, suits them well, in the end BoB finnaly sees that XS is mroe a liablility than an advantage, shame it comes so late. 6- oh yes im gloating now, XS deserves it so ----------------------------------------------- We Make war so we may live in peace

How much time have you spent fighting Xelas? They have never meant anything whatsoever. They have never fought for the space they lived in and they never made any attempt to defend it themselves. I would be in for the shock of my life if they even made an attempt to stand up to BoB instead of just leaving at this point. When they were installed in Fountain they were pushed to the brink of death by a tiny group of players before BoB placed conquerable stations. Even then they have never shown any will to do anything of substance for themselves. I don't know about you, but its a good sign that you have found the worst alliance in EVE history when a forum post from another alliance leader is all that is required to completely kill that alliance. I would hesistate to actually call them an alliance, however, as all they were was a lose conglomeration of corporations that wanted to make money in Fountain without having BoB shoot them. If you take away that part they naturally become nothing; which is what you will observe in the next few days. The Enemy's Gate is Down

Most of them have already been pitched. One that has not, however, is this: it is a test. Arguably bob have little to lose and quite a bit to gain by ousting xelas, in ways that have been pointed out by others. Additionally however, this tests the loyalty of all renters/vassals/pets. If they see xelas being booted as the beginning, they could rebel and bring about a great war (which bob wants). If they are inclined to do this, then the chances of them rebelling at some other point in the future at an imconvenient moment is quite high. If the rest of their... shall we say, asset alliances, meekly accept the fate of xelas on whatever rationale, if any, bob gives, this speaks to their pliancy and dependability for the future, letting bob make plans with more certainty. Xelas could be a trial for excercising any of their problematically strong asset alliances, perhaps even the mighty MC (one hell of a challenge!) or Fix, down to a complete genocidal purging of other alliances, or perhaps a new scutage policy, strongarming asset groups not prone to actively defending their rented space into paying even more, ostensibly to pay for its defense. Purging xelas: uncharacteristic bout of ethics, or clinical trial for greater depths of villainy? We shall wait and see.
