Because as far as I am aware, permanant bans are levied against the person, not the character or account. If someone were to petition and inform CCP that Cromar is one of ginger's alts, he would probably be revieving a permaban on that account too.

This is a different set of circumstances. He was permabanned once before and wrangled his way out of it down to a two week ban. He was on his absolutely final warning and should have known better.

Ginger has never been perma banned and the last 2 occasions he got banned were setups or mistakes which were quickly retracted by CCP.In this case Ginger made no threat to kill anyone and we have the logs to prove it.No doubt the matter of the ban will be quickly resolved.This thread was merely to inform the Eve public of current events.

There is a difference between saying you'll find someone in real life and that you'll find them and kill them or beat them or whatever. The first instance would not be a good reason to perma-ban someone. Give him a month or two to cool off though and think the situation over. Apparently he didn't think hard enough the first time.

I dunno, I am not a fan of ginger but he was kinda (okay, VERY) fun to kill and his posts were rather entertaining (yes tiller, better than yours... )...
Just that I can imagine what I would feel like if I got my account permabanned and I would be pretty devastated... kind of a lot of work to get smushed for one comment, however bad.
But meh, if it's true that he's had warnings about this before then I can understand.
