Meh, I relax when I play EVE. Or I try to anyways. Of course, this would explain why I'm not earning as much ISK as my peers and get carried away with noob corp chat. :P
Eve-Online is a brilliant chat program with pretty ships, explosions and a virtual market in the background. :P

Join a real corp (ideally one based in either low-sec or 0.0) and you will find the game is sooo much more than that....

CCP changed nothing, you simply let the game get to you.
I did have a stretch where the game was getting to me, I was spending too much time playing, but i just stopped, put it down. Recently came back, anbd am just paying for the fun again, hour this day, maybe 2 hours another day.

Who says? I LIKE complicated. I got bored of Space Invaders years ago- I want my spaceship games these days to be deep and complex.
Not everyone does though. People need to play whatever games they enjoy. If you don't enjoy EVE, quitting is the right thing for you.
What I don't understand, though, is why everyone who decides not to play EVE needs to log on to EVE-O and complain about it. Leave, be happy! Unless you're saying a polite goodbye to a community full of friends, why come on here to tell us we're playing a bad game?

In line with this answer, if you just wanted to chill...why on earth did you choose EvE? Most of us come here knowing what the game is about. Some more so than others. Especially when its payed for thru a subcription.
You wouldnt go buy a car without finding out about it first would you? I usually take it for a test drive first to make sure i like it. Oh wait.....EvE have a 'test drive'!! Why on earth did you carry on playing if you didnt like it?
Recommendation : Pop down to your nearest store and buy yourselves some board games, chess, checkers. I would recommend monopoly but i think youll find that too stressful.
(This isnt a flame btw, just chillin havin a laugh)

I aint a king and dont have to be one to be happy in a game to chill out.
I like complex games, I find them much more rewarding... but because they're meant to be simple people have to make every game simple now? I don't think so.

And i agree it's going in the wrong direction for a lot of players . At least a lot i talk to.
There are about 15 of us seriously considering quitting after running a few level 5's in Singularity Saturday .
I have 3 paying accounts , and most them have multiples as well , and my main is worth almost 5 billion alone .
And no you can't have my stuff !

Welcome to the competative gamingworld in a MMO.. If you want something simpler for pure fun without effort I suggest SimCity, Age Of Empire series, Baldurs Gate is still an excellent game too.. or why not some fastpaced FPS like Quake or some counterstrike? :)
Seriosly, this is the very essence of a good MMO, risk vs reward, time gives more and you dont get anything served on a silverplatter, if these are things you can live with then keep on playing, if not, just dont play EVE. Simple as that.

Ok TRUST ME you do not want a game simple! i used to Play SWG (star Wars galaxies) they turned that game into simple and theres nobody that plays it over the age of 10 anymore... trust me eve is fine! Eve is for mature people thats what makes it great!

Any serious hobby that requires 10 hours a week won't match with a busy work schedule and EVE requires at least that. If you can't put these hours into it, chances are you can't be in a player corp (which limits the fun factor) and you'll not be doing so well financially. Neither it is the healthiest hobby, as in the same time you could have done something physically active or read something informative or did something with your family if you live with any. But it is way better than watching a TV for those same 10 hours, for example. And there are activities in EVE that are not sressful but still fun, like marker pvp for example.

it's a mmo for god's sake, it designed to be time consuming/"hard", thats why work = reward. If you want it easy go fire up some SP game and use cheats!
