Do people think saying 'can I have your stuff' is funny?
Oh, I get it, they do. All 5 year olds like repetitive, meaningless stuff like that...

This reads...
Could i have your stuff? Please? You dont have to be able speak a certain language to communicate, but people will read it and respect what you write that little bit more if you can.

WTF are the kids smoking these days?
I like Eve. But its neither mathematically genius (for one thing that'd be INgenious, and its not - with stuff rounded under the hood and not shown, and every bonus displayed in different often non-sensical ways) nor is it graphically awesome. If you want a graphically neat space game, check out X3 (and X-tended 0.7a). Just compare their planets to the billard balls in Eve. Pleeeease --

Guess this thread can be translated to: 'Why doesn't EVE cater to people like me, who are tired after work and want something simple ?' Answer: There are enough other games and hobbies for people, who just want to relax and think EVE is to complex or demanding after work. EVE is for people, who like to play a game like EVE. Don't like it, don't play it. I mean if you think football after work is too exhausting, you don't play it. Problem solved.

There's a line drawn between having a game to play and having a game that rules your life. Some unfortunately overstep that line but in Eve, it is quite easy to take that step. For those who prefer to chill out and have fun, it is often difficult to play when so many are using Eve as an alternative to RL and play every second they possibly can. The casual gamer often has a problem with this sort of game when fierce competition comes from players who are playing almost 23/7.
I can easily make sense of the OP's dilemma. Eve is too intense to play as a way to relax after work for some. If you work in a factory where the brain is rarely used, it's a way to keep the brain from vegetating through lack of use. If you already use your brain constantly at work, Eve can be too tiring to play in the evening as a means to wind down. For the second group, they want a game that needs less grey matter interaction than Eve requires.
My job is borderline. I have to use my head but not as much as a computer programmer for example. I can still fire up Eve and have a bit of fun but it can still be tiring after too long. It's a bit like having two jobs, your RL one and the virtual one. Some can cope with the two job scenario, some can't.

Sounds like the poor OP needs a more relaxing and less time consuming RPG.

Yes this game is mathematically genious and grapically awsome. A pure marvel of human creativety.
Yet, when I get home after some pure marvel of human creativety I want to chill out also and get into some simple maths.
This game got into some intrecacies I wont follow anymore as a worker.
Kings invented games to chill out because they had time. Then there was checkers, dames, game of go yet all civisation had their chill out delicacies. When you have time you play and get some out reality into a game.
Games are meant to be fun and simple. Just a simple way to chill out into an opponent into a simplified environment for some short time.
Now you guys in CCP crossed some borders into real life and play. You can attrack peeps that have alot of time to waste but I am a worker and with some limited time to chill out on work schedule I do need to chill out and wish to.
I aint a king and dont have to be one to be happy in a game to chill out.
If you don't really quit I'm going to wardec you in response to your assault on the English language. -----------

Eve in some ways is less of a time sink honestly, you can train skills while offline. you can get to long skills cancel your account for a few months, and go frolic in the grass, smell some flowers, get a suntan. come back and you can fly a hac or whatever.
Most mmos everything is about how long you are seated at the keyboard, killing things to advance your character. I am not a power gamer and took me 3 years of playing asherion's call grinding on monsters for countless hours to hit the max level of 126. if i took a break my character advanced not one bit, and all my friends far surpassed my level.
Eve is a tad harsher than other mmos but way eve is anymore insurance covers the cost of a ship loss if you invest in it, mods on a ship will be your biggest loss with max insurance. Back in the day insurance was a pure joke, think the current default insurance pays out more now with no isk spent that the old insurance did with max investment.
And lets get real here you can fly a bs for level 3s with no risk and own everything in a few hits and takes 3x longer to mop up all the wrecks than to run the actual mission, eve can be as relaxing as you want to make it, or on the flip side as frustrating as you want to make it trying to solo level 4s with the wrong setup or non tank build or living in low/no sec.
You can also mine in empire, play eve in a window, drag ore from a hold to a can for a few hours and launch a few drones now and again to kill rats, while you do work or play poker or solitare at the same time.
I could never multitask while running a raid in a another mmo, or even resource gathering i could not sit safely in one spot for hours in other games gathering ore uninterrupted.
Maybe you should try other mmos, only mmo i could think that was the most time sink free was guild wars since i could log into that game for one to 3 hours and feel i got something done, unlike other mmos where it took hours a day for a week or more to advance one bit.
