A little tip to the one, which don't know. This time you don't have to reinstall the client!
If you have trouble though, just clear up the cache in EVE folder. All the things there will be generated again while starting the client.
Another thing to keep in mind. Most know, but to the one, which don't have the background-knowledge.
You just have to push the red marked button and choose Tranquility.
The server prooves then the actual status. You don't need to push again and again or maybe you're nervous 
Guess there are 2k players pushing the button three times. It will set up six thousand connections every second. Hot wire

GMT (greenwich mean time) or UTC (coordinated universal time) are (almost) the same thing, 0-meridian time. UTC are a bit more precise (but both are always within 1 second of each other).
Also called Zulu time for those with a military history.

These forums are a great place to blow off steam while waiting. I'd rather have robotic internet cams over there at CCP so I could watch step by step I'm sure if they had that the site wouldn't overload.

The fun thing about time is when you think about several alien nations trying to have a standard time for all planets. I ended up in having a global universe time which is calculated on every planet, so there are allways two times, the planetary and the global.
And what about time being manipulated by gravitation.
There are some funny books about it ù though some higher lecture..
