Warning: please take the below post simply as bragging rights and I am in no way questioning the size of your (no doubt small) epeen.
How much you kill vs how much you lose I suppose could be argued gives a good indication of how successful you are in eve.
Sure a shuttle is easy to take down, and titan is not, but a kill is a kill, and a kill without losing your ship is a flawless victory no matter what the target.
In a 7 week period I have notched up 1010 kills to only 3 losses, a stat that I am acutally proud enough to start a post about.
With my CSE Grade 3 maths skills thats...

The above proves without doubt that I am beyond your average pilot and in fact quite uber.
Lets get some stats posted, would be interesting to see some figures to back up the usual forum heros that no doubt will flame me in the next few hours.
Don't even bother flaming me unless you can beat this astonishing stat above, you then too will have bragging rights and my respect (really)

EDIT 2 - Thought I might add that my kills over my deaths is defenetly more, but not by much (I can't get in-game at this time for exact stats), but saying that solo'ing/small roaming gang's is abit more riskier, than my reply above

I knew i shouldn't have posted that comment in that guys thread 
I'm not nearly as active as i used to be in eve but in Veto i'm on a 120.5:1 ratio currently. Not the best by far but not bad.
1010 kills in 7 weeks is an impressive stat. how many of those were shuttles btw?

Not sure what my ratio is for last 7 weeks.
But my running average is 52:1 (52 kills to every 1 loss) 
Although I haven't taken a loss in the past 45 days! lol

Well he could theoretically have 50% of all his kills be pods, if he caught every one...that'd be ridiculous to do, since pods move so fast, but still.

i take risks... and fight fights...
so i loose ships..
but aslong as i kill more then i loose iam happy

Thats really good tiller.
But i took the liberty of knocking off the pods, shuttles, indy's, barges etc
and 156.5:1 is what i got for you after - still pretty good.
Id say from my stats i came out with about a 25:1 ratio going on a week by week basis (not including the easy stuff). Then again it should be less likly to lose a battleship more than an AF for instance.
Not that impressive for me, but i somehow made a rather modest profit - which to me is more important, not quite as important as the fun i had with it though

about three deaths per kill but then I use crap cheap ships and mods so i'm still happy with that.

Killing a pod is quite risky as I'm exposing myself to more fire / chance of attack.

But what does make a difference is whether your kills come from roaming pvp a fleet war or sitting in a blob on a gate

I spread mine over too many killboards but easily between 10-20,000 (please bear in mind I can kill over 100 on a good 4hr smartbomb session, and no, takes no skills just F1-F8)
