Originally by: Ethaet I HATE the massive modules, when my cargo is open then I can't even use every module I have fitted because I always put my cargo in the bottom right corner because it is easy to use there.
There's an easy fix for that problem. Buy a bigger monitor I picked up a 19" wide screen pretty cheap. It makes ALL the difference in EVE because I have plenty of room for chat windows, overview, and cargo windows and STILL see the beauty of space as I'm blown into a million little pixles.

The speed bar now increases speed not by agility of the said ship, but just with constant 'jumps'. I cant even see if I accelerate faster or not. wth. ---

Firstly I appologise to those that may have provided the advice I am about to give, I got bored reading the whining about accidentally 'clicking' on the overload bit on UI.
have any of you whining cry babies ever used the 'F' keys to use you modules???????? I am guessing not, which also tells me you will not have any pvp experience..... so my advice is organise you UI so that the modules you are most likely to use are actionable through you F-keys. no stop the whining... please...

Originally by: Kapoios if you think you'll never overload your modules then lock them to a non-overload state to remove the risk of overloading accintetally, just like i did (or you could just not train thermodynamics... ) ofc i'm not telling how it's quite obvious how to do it. (hint: it has to do with an arrow)
Please tell me, I really can't work this out.

Not too keen on the chunky UI either. It's probably "work in progress" though.
Hmmm.. heat. Is that just another ball to juggle? CCP's answer to sadism for the masochists out there?

Why is the heat interface there when we can't use it anyway. |

The purpose of a UI is to make things EASIER for people, not harder!!!!
You're claiming that people should adapt from a UI that worked for them, to a much crappier UI without complaining....
Workarounds to features that are broken doesn't fix them. They're still broken!
Stop trolling and flaming......

No, but you probably are....
You also have absolutely NO clue whatsoever to computer UI design guidelines.....

* Character screen.. ok, this thing makes me cry. Why is the dropdown menus with black background? It's horrible and annoying to watch the skills. I wish we at least could chose colour on dropdown menus to solve this. * Still few options to chose colours, where's the RMR-winered colour option for the UI? We have RevI still available even tho it's RevII out (and possible to chose that from menus).
Hit 'escape' in game and go to the graphics tab. Chose your UI color or create your own. Voila - easier on the eye.

PVP is NOT Griefing! This isn't Everquest or WoW. (While Some PvPers do grief other players (Free "Stuff" Traps or Smartbombing N00bships), PvP in and of itself is not griefing. And PvP can be Very Rewarding in the ISK Dept........
Oh and to stay on Topic I like the UI Layout (Well about as much as I ever liked it its not Worse) - No Problems for me. (I use F Keys and have a programmable keyboard Threv
That's life. Some people run X accounts. With a better PC. And a faster GFX card. And on a faster network connection. While their wife brings them beer. From the fridge on their yacht.

NOT Signed.
I like the new UI very much. If you dislike it sorry for you. CCP cannot attend to all tastes. I like it and that's good for me.
Good job CCP. The new Revelations looks amazing! Keep it up!

Please reference these UI design guidlines, I'd like to see them, but seriously though I doubt you have much either as you would see that using F-keys is not a workaround but an added feature to allow the user to customise his UI to better suit his needs. Also, the buttons are bigger, so it should be (as you put it) easier to use and thus an improvement. I must say I like the new look very much, nothing broken imho.

Still puzzles me why CCP didn't put cooldown indicators on the edges of all the module icons. Just like the cooldown indicator on talents in wow. I mean, the green edge has already been added to those so why not use it? The worst pvp'er in EVE :
