LOL, ya I guess we all know how murder one feels.
So the "adaptions" everyone seems to be using is just to switch from T2 to faction?
Doesn't that make the omni-tanks have better resists then before? So people are not going to compromise their omni-tanks and are instead just paying more to keep them and subsequently make them more powerful?
This makes me nervous...

One of my Gankageddon setups just went out of the window, there are all sorts of ways I can change it a little, but I think the DC II goes down to named.

My Crusader was unaffected by the EANM Adjustment. I still have exactly 1 CPU left.
And everyone knows how tight Interceptors are on Fittings.

Ships I usually were short on CPU had active hardeners so Im more than happy about this change.
Its usually PG I tend to be short when fitting Minmatar ships.

It hasn't affected me really, my abaddon can still fit an omni-tank to deal with merc/angels.

For me, it has the following effect: The T2 mag stabs are going back on the market (or in a can for future use), to be replaced by cheap navy mag stabs with better bonuses and far less CPU use.
My hats off to CCP in general, and my middle finger to the nerfbat team specifically.

Seems good here.
Also, new implants in the LP Store seem to increase CPU output...but I havent used them yet.

well as i used actives before change too, i'm just happy, as i get more CPU =)and if you need to change an omni setup just go for 3 n-type hardeners those are 26 cpu eachand gives you marginally better res than the 2 eanm 1 dcu (all T2) exept for Em res ofcourse
2x eanm II + DCU II gives with max skills 49.956 res, and the n-type gives 50% aswe know, so mainly you get 12 cpu freed and loose some in the EM res department, othervise same res as before with same slot usage
------- Well atleast you don't have to type that name for invites or coms..... My buddies loved me in EQ2 i can tell you... |

Pilgrim, Geddon and Megathron setups are all crap now. Time to start over. I appreciate CCP's attempt to help Amarr by nerfing us even more. I also find it troublesome that active hardeners are now easier to fit than passive hardeners.

tbh ive spent the last year or so watching these fools bring nerf after nerf. Eve really is becoming more wow' esk every patch. Im sick of whiners (yes im officially one now) and half hearted attempts like this to balance a game where all the fun is in the point that it isnt balanced.
bad move i say. for what its worth

Edited by: Anehra on 22/06/2007 05:22:17 Absolution - no change, neither tank nor gank. Zealot - no change, I only had gankfit tho. Myrmidon - no change, dual EAN + DCUII still. Pilgrim - not really, I always used shadow serpentis on them because of probs to fit from the start already (the difference is now they're a bit more expensive to fly only). ..admittedly I don't fly battleships, so I guess this doesnt affect me much anyway.

The devil is in the details.
DEVs thought bumping up the CPU requirements on ENAMs would make active hards more attractive for armor tanking.
Only problem is that some ships are not pure armor-tankers.
On Gallente ships DCU > everything. That goes double for a suicide gank ship like a Megathron.
If you've got 3 resist slots, your just going to use one slot for structure resistances.
That leaves 2 slots to deal with armor resistances.
When your looking at 2 slots to cover 4 resistances, 2 ENAMs just make so much more sense than 2 active hards.
So your going to use 2 ENAMs instead of 2 active hards.
Problem is that some ships like the Megathron are really hard to fit. I'm not talking about a 'you can't have an awesome gank with an awesome tank' hard to fit. You basically need implants and cpu-saving named/faction modules to fit a half-baked tank.
From a Megathrons POV, nerfing the EM resistance on ENAMs might have made a lot more sense.

Edited by: Tuea on 22/06/2007 09:53:18 If you don't want to go faction: 2x EANM II now use 12 more cpu an internal force field array saves 13 cpu over a DC II for a tiny decrease in performance.
The extra cost is like 3m or something, it's all whining over nothing imo

Well, except for those who were already using the named. Then it's whining over something, me thinks.
Anyway, the nerf hasn't affected me at all. No noticeable difference on my Arazu and my Pilgrim still fits, too (with Recon 5).
Yet it strikes me that the biggest problem with the nerf is that it hasn't achieved its purpose, if the threads are anything to judge by. EM resistance will be as high as ever.
And there's also the situation where more and more Gallente pilots will be pushed towards one ship. The Dominix. Which seems overpowered at the mo (mainly because of Nosf), which will lead to people claiming that Gallente BS are overpowered in general - which is somewhat ironic to say the least.

Made no difference to me, oh except instead of 1 T2 and 1 Accomm lar's I now fit 2 Accomm reppers. All my other ships are unaffected including my Brutix.
So no change here at all really, because Losing 1 T2 repper for the Accomm is such a small change it might as well not be there.
