so i did 1 of 3 i did 2 of 3
those where pretty easy, but step 3 of 3 is weird, i warped in with my shuttle cause its a new mission and i didnt know what was waiting, anyway when you warp to you location in step 3 of 3 you enter a gas clouds dealing 400 dmg first time and increasing buy 100 each time, the thing is you have to fly to a acceleration gate ( 40 km away ) and i was like 20 km away when the clouds does like 3000 dmg to my CNR and no hardners work. Can anyone help me ?

I just did the level 2 version of that mission, I can imagine that the level 4 would be rough. Your best bet will probably be to put a good afterburner on a Raven or Drake and maybe some overdrives or other speed mods. No enemies attack you, so it's simply a race to get to the gate before your tank fails.

Parts 1 and 2 are easy. Part 3 is a nightmare. Lost a shuttle, frig and cruiser...Tried to fast boat it there...even bm the gate and warp back to the gate but that didnt help (you warp back to the original point of the mission).
nightmare mission and i will not risk my bs or absolution on this one.

I just did the mission, the first mission i just killed.. Did not know I only needed to go trought the second gate.
The second one i just used a shuttle.
And the third one was... So easy it made me laugh. I just fitted 1 thorax with dual reps, 2 800mm plates and a overdrive. 10mn Afterburner and 1 medium cap booster with 400 charges.
Never even got to 50% armor.

The lvl 4 Recon mission is exactly what is says. The mission only requires you to venture into the pockets, move around, getting to the next gate, etc. The last mission (3 of 3) will require you to tank damage on your way to the gate. The green area hurts you and did about 50% shield damage in my Raven. It turns out to be a mining mission for all you roid lovers.

Haha I thought this mission was pretty funny, since I had an absolution fitted with 2 1600mm plates, 2 800mm plates, a CPR and 2 MAR II's, 2 T2 cap chargers and a 10mn II. Made it a cake walk with 17k armor. Last couple of blasts did over 4k damage, was glad i over did it on the plating.

Done in a Raven. First two parts were fun, I hung around and took out the fleets that gathered there, the first fleet gets quite large and becomes a fair challenge. Some nice drops and salvage though Don't bother killing the stronghold on the second part the drops are an insult for the work put in. I thought I'd try and race to the gate on the third part in my inty, It popped almost instantly. Went back using my T2 Raven with Rigs and managed it fairly comfortably.

Edited by: Vorok on 22/06/2007 22:50:19 I ran it on level 4 in a dominix and didn't have a problem. I easily tanked my way through the cloud. The only time damage became significant was when I reached the gate and lost half my armor to a few parting blows. After the last high damage bursts, the damage stopped.
I suggest just out-tanking the cloud with superior repair speed and fitting an afterburner if hardeners don't work (I didn't check).
Was pretty surprised when I warped in though and saw my shields dropping. It was fairly easy with a good tank, just surprising.

Likewise - I did this in my sleipnir and with the booster running barely noticed that I was taking damage.

1 of 3 was pretty fun. Was first time I had to warp out in a long time, but I wanted to kill em all before heading to gate. Second was just easy, third was scarey, but damage came in slower than a single T2 armor repper repaired...I was most of the time at full armor. Biggest hit I took was when I got a message(I forget the wording) about a big blast coming, and it was 700some damage.

I just did this for the first time, rocked up in my T1 omni-tank raven with a cap booster and XL shield booster,,, no worries for me. Final red-text warning hurt for about 1176 hp, sent the sheilds down to 40% but it didnt get lower than that.
Sorry, dont see where the fuss is.
On the up side, I *loved* the background for this mission. Great to see some nice new scenery that doesnt choke the game up.

I think this mission have some randomness buildt in, after doing it 3 times I have found different sized spawns in the first part, and different dmg in the last cloud part.
But the mission is easy, not need to yammer on forums about how hard it is. Lots of missions have been ruined by the same yammer choir

This mission is easy. The only hard part is the first stage. But even then it's tankable if you destroy the stuff that's hurting you first.
I got through the third stage without touching my booster on the NH, and that's without an AB. --- in EVE - Idara |

I went in a Crow with Gisti 1mn AB+ Small t2 Booster and it was just fine. I went in a Thorax, same mission, 10mn Domination AB+Med T2 Armor Repper - Ok I went in a Nighthawk, the other day, 10mn Domination AB+Large T2 Booster - OK I went in a T1 (basic mission) Raven 100mn AB+100mn T2 AB - and had the worst experience, where most of my shields were gone before I got to the gate.

Not possible... I received in 1 second, when warping in, 4 dmg waves for a 1000 total damage that blew my ship. Had not any time to activate any fitting. Do not send false experience messages with interceptors in order that other ppl got their inty blasted... It is just lame.
Every other pilot that posts their experience in Inty said they blew up too... God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. |

It's rather simple, you get about 10 waves of damage starting with 4x500 dmg at warp-in (500dmg for each damage type). After that you're hit every 20 seconds with increasing intensity (4x600, 4x650, etc.) up to about 4x1000 damage. The last BIG wave is 4x3000 dmg, wich sounds a lot, but with resists in the 80s you'll only recieve 2400 tops.. shouldn't be a problem for any ship able to do lvl4s.
Maybe an Inty works if you can survive the first wave and warp out through the gate before the second one hits but saving a minute isn't really worth the risk IMO.

The most damage I took was 1000 in my rigged Drake with 17k shields, 2 invulns and an em hardener. I thought ist was easy and never went below 75% shields. Went in with a miner friend who was in a Drake also but certainly not setup like mine. It scared the <bleep> outta him. His shields evaporated on the big wave and he went into armor so he warped out.
I recommend that you bring a strong tank and fit an AB. Simple mission really and I also loved the toxic tornadoes of doom.

First one is a bit tough but doable in CNR with cap injector. I think reinforcment waves are triggered by last dire ships from the wave. First stage has 4 waves second stage 2 waves.
Second one is just long travel in deadpsace and have to tank a bit at the end. AF with afterburner works nice.
Third one is damage clod. It was doable in cruiser with afterburner and 3 large shield extenders. Minmatar cruisers are quite fast. Did it in bellicose.

Wow, I just tried doing this in my Belli and got out of the first gate with a handful of hp left (I would have made it had I known to go straight for the gate). This was my first L2 mission, so I had no idea what to expect and I started out trying to fight... I then tried to go back twice, once in an ab-fitted Slasher I had sitting around and then in a shuttle, losing both. I was about 8km when I lost the shuttle. The last two times I had gone back after work (9+ hrs) hoping they would be far enough away, but they were right there waiting where I left them. I ended up dropping the mission, but figure I will be going back to try it again. Having the few extra seconds it takes for them to start spawning means the difference between life and death.
