Based on teh fact BoB live in teh same space as the blood raiders, it makes sense for them to reach such a standing through various ways during time. To allow them to run angle missions. There where never any promises, was just said they would look into it and see if it might be possible to do. The Bloods still shoot at me, even when I'm on the character that I worked to a personal 6.8+ standing. Edit: And on the character that I worked to 6.8+, I had to start with Lv 1 agents. I do know that we protested, as we did not want our region screwed. While the stations do have their uses, we cant lock our enemies out of them, so we NEVER wanted them. Furthermore, I'm pretty sure that BoB would EAGERLY accept a -10.0 alliance standing with Blood raiders if we could get those NPC stations removed:) Play nice while you butcher each other.

I don't know if we ever got actual standings out of it, but I imagine that was where it was headed. Have fun Please correct me if I am Wrong, but most people do storylines for fun and not profit. My understanding was that ASCN did the storyline, and lost some half assed setup ships. They then demanded that they get paid in full and basically gave Aurora the middle finger. I remember being told that they never took on the reward, which was a 2 run mach bpc I beleive, which was worth around 2bil at the time. I dont know the value of loot the Angels/Sansha droped, though given the general attitude, rumours went around that the good loot was kept privatly by randoms. I dont know if this is true or not, just going on the random rumours I heard from the time I was a Director in ASCN. Anyhow, generally I think that if ASCN was wanting to move forward with Aurora, and treat them with more respect insted of expecting profit, then more profitable oppertunities would have arisin. I can visulise from the aurora perspective, having to get volunters to help out for a storyline only to find that your audiance gives you the middle finger and asks for a cheque would only encorage them to focus their efforts with Alliances, Such as CVA and others, that actually respected and valued the work that they did. To be honest, I personally think NO storyline should give any reward. If Aurora takes the time to come up with a arc, and people donate their free time to help, then I think people should have the goodwill to risk what they can afford to lose in the name of entertainment. -- Billion Isk Mission

Have fun And your incredibly condescending point is... what exactly? I knew all that already, I listened to Steel rat talk about it on TS multiple times. I never said the reward was a king's ransom (as I recall at one point we were also offered a bunch of Angel Cartel ammo, or something along those lines). I was simply speculating about what kind of things these standings might have come from. The fact that a single story arc interaction didn't have awesome rewards has little to do with that, and in any case, +4.5 standings aren't exactly a license to print isk either. :P -------------------------- There is no +6 sword of WTFPWN in Eve.

Valainaloce	Posted - 2007.06.21 20:09:00 - [60] Thing is ASCN gave AURORA the middle finger only after a big pile of ships got blown up and we got a measly 2 run Machariel BPO for it while other alliances were receiving Motherships, scores of faction mods etc for similar amount of participation AND were completely ignored for months. On the OP note: I wonder why after the combat boosters were introduced and an agent giving out BPCs was seeded in Feythabolis that agent was an Angel agent and because EVERYONE in ASCN had negative standings towards Angels from obvious reasons so literally NOBODY could talk to it. It was essentially as if an agent handing out Officer mods would be placed into Jove space nobody could get missions from him yet everyone did their best to get it it was impossible. Why weren't we handed positive standings to Angel Cartel? Feel free to demonize... me ;) Chaining BoBo in south Feyth:
