TBH, from BoB's Killboard, it looks like TCF + RA retook the station. The goons were there in true GOON style... frigs and cruisers for the most part, with the occasional BS, and a couple cap ships. _______________________________________________

That's because there are no goons.

10 RA+Goon cap ships destroyed. 2 BoB cap ships destroyed. At least according to the killboards. Additionally, Goon already controlled the outpost before the servers went down for Rev 2.

The aftermath of Monday's pos-spamming from both sides in XGH has continued with a day of constant fighting in Rev 2. Bob began by defending the station shortly after the patch downtime ended, until their numbers waned and Goonswarm managed to retake it. This was followed by a GF capital fleet reinforcing 5 Bob towers in system... only to find 4-6 hour strontium times on each. A combined Redswarm force returned to demolish four of these towers, bringing the system to the current sov status of 24 GS 19 Bob.
Fighting continued throughout the day, with highlights including the loss of 2 Goonswarm carriers, 8 RA capitals and 2 Bob carriers. As Bob forces have been reinforced from their home systems during the day they have suceeding in disabling the XGH station services, rendering the outpost almost useless. I'm eagerly awaiting to see what happens when the hotfix downtime ends...

More importantly, how is the "need for speed initiative" working out?

well looks like bob are learning to beat the GS-RA group that said loosing 2 cap ships is a 20% ration for GS and a 500% ratio there for bob not that good compared with other ocnflcits

Sounds like good fun. I'm surprised the servers haven't had any issues with this sort of fighting given the recent patch.

Could it be that Some of the lag was actually fixed this time around? what with all these optimizations that have been put into Rev II....
Lets hope thats the case and it wasnt just a reinforced node... -------------------------------------------------

bob tried to pos spam and take it right before the rev 2 dt. counter spam won the day.
Last night poses put into reinforced by Goon/RA/Allies (after capturing station). After DT 4 destroyed. Bob loses 2 carriers then RA/Goons lose 10 caps.

So far there is no noticeable improvement on lag, but we need to run more large fleet battle to have a definite answer I guess.

I don't know but killing 10 cap ships and losing 2 isn't really a loss in my book.

You must be the village idiot (What I'm saying is that BOB are taking more losses than usual, comprende? oh..wait, ofcource you dont. Let me try again; BOB actually lost more than 2 bs's during a days work. see? It's all relative)

From what I see of the killmails posted there:
RAGoon attacked the system, killed 2 carriers and a small support gang. Later then BoB moved in 5 motherships and 9 carriers and killed in a (probably) suprise attack half of the attacking capitals there.
Sounded like good fun for both sides! But...how about the lag? Did Rev2 help anything??

i was only in cap fleet battle killing drones fighters and occasionally shooting RA/GS cap ships. Lag was nonexistant with 120-130 in local and a cap ship fight with zillion of fighters at a pos. I declare this is an improvement but i want to see a 100 vs 100 fleet battle to be sure.

I believe there was one later that evening and the server ****ed. At least it did for the person I spoke with though he said it could have been his client and something or another about Vista sucking.

Im not sure about this.
Was involved in both fights myself.
First when those capitals were killed during day
Second in evening
Same system, both fights at POS with lot of fighters, support ships, BS....
In both fights i didnt have much lag. I have avarage PC (maybe even lesser), and since we know lag was often random to each individual, I think lag issue improved. Maybe it has something to do with data not being driven from cache folder as before (or something like that). Dont know.
But we will see in next cupple of days me, myself and I ------> |
