I spent some time roaming around Pure Blind earlier today, and was dismayed to find this system completely abandoned. Whilst it may well be the arse end of the universe, there was not a single pilot - MC or otherwise - within 5 jumps in any direction.
What are the plans for this once open trading hub? I presume MC does not wish to keep a hold of so many disparate constellations... -- Fix Caldari | Fix Rigs |

I suggest you stick around and find out first-hand. No doubt you will be quickly informed. :)
Once NOL has been purged with cleansing fire, and all the vassals are put to the sword, I'm sure we'll have a lovely little cold war, your bloc and ours. It'll be fun. But there won't be corruptio |

Yup, the problem wasthat it was put on a route that nobody really traversed. Maybe G/D2, but they had such a large trade base of their own, they didn't really need another party to come along and help them.
Equally though, Pure Blind is one of those regions that nobody seems to want to hold on to for more than a few days.

Most of Goons/TCF/KOSs freetrade zone was the same some months ago, like Wicked Creek, Detorid, Tenerifis and Omist too I think. 9 out of 10 systems empty, even in station systems sometimes only 1 or 2 people and all you occasionally met were some farmer ravens, usually safe spotting.

properly organised NPCing and mining trips can be highly profitable just look for the quite regions of space and go in. Docking outside of the 0.0 NPC zones can be difficult but even then a cloaked hauler and properly fitted scouts and spending up to 2-3 days out there can yeild quite a bit.

I accidentally clone jumped there the other week, :o Old clone...
No one in system and not a single person sighed all the way back to empire...
Admittedly it wasn't the centre of the universe last time I was there, but yeah... :o Pretty apparent no one cares about the area, not even random logski NPCers. :o

It's a couple of reasons really:
1) Pure Blind sucks. There's no crokite(so the mining sucks), the sec status is high(so the ratting sucks) and there are half a dozen various NPC stations that your hostiles can base out of.
2) That specific route requires using X-70MU to reach Torrinos. X-70 has in recent times been a popular camping spot given its location along that route and close proximity to EC. Basically the station was built along a route that became overpirated and abandoned. ---- AUS Corp Lead Megalomanic |

Even tho this post will be deleted, I'd like to add this little known fact. MC offered to sell the stations conquered by them in Fade and Pure Blind to FLA, respectively P2-TTL and C4C, but the deal fell through for various reasons.

It's an interesting place, TBH. While we were invading Fade and Dek, local rarely dropped below 60 and was often above 100. One of my fondest memories of the war was one night when I was outside the station fueling up, there was this constant stream of ships cynoing in and out for nearly an hour and a half right at the station.
The location isn't really all that bad, especially in war time. It served our needs quite well.![Smile](/images/icon_smile.gif)
If nothing comes of this, we do have a rather fun back-up plan for the place. ![Cool](/images/icon_cool.gif)

Better put your plan in place already. Last time that someone bought a station from a alliance, it ended without the station and the isks, and all after a very short period of time.

Yeah ... but a lot of ex-ISS pilots and shareholders are now living in your former stations, while ISS themselves are sieging their former refinery in Tenerifis. So I think we will get the last laugh. Selling a disputed station then stealing it back monhts later didn't work out too well for you, did it? ![Wink](/images/icon_wink.gif)

Pure Blind has kinda always suffered from the fact that it has low sec rating, so it's not good for ratting and mining. The moons are not that good. It's the best route from empire to deeper 0.0 regions and it has so many and different exits defending is painful. In a nutshell: You can't really make isk there, It's more expensive to hold than other 0.0 (a lot of traffic, so propability of loses to roaming gangs is high) It's difficult to hold (within jump range from empire and npc stations, so you have no possibility of retaliation to attackers)
Costs >> profits for that particular region... ___ P.S. Post with your main. Mind control and tin hats |

I guess it all depends on what someone's plans for 0.0 are. A strong alliance could take the area, build it up a bit and maybe do something nice. Land is always valuable and you never know what oppertunities lie ahead.
The price we're asking is less than the outpost took to build in the first place. It's one carrier jump from low-sec Empire, making it very easy to re-fuel or supply and the strategic value is obvious. I wouldn't mind keeping the place myself if we weren't so invested in other areas. -
