Same here, two characters got kicked in mid mission. And it's no longer possible to log in. Server is reporting Status: Unknown. All other inet activities work, only EVE login is dead.

Woho! I bug reported this issue here on the site.
You must give the guys handling bug reports more love. I got the reply they don't handle support requests and to use (your going to love this) "the ingame petition system". So in short if you can't get ingame go ingame and report this. But ever so helpful the automatic message also referred me to two addresses on EVE-O that are just as dead as the account maintainance pages.
So I can't play, I can't report it in any way and, short of telling my credit card company to reject EVE charges, I can't even stop paying for this service.
Happy Happy!

Well, just so we're in the clear here. I went to www.traceroute.org and tried about 30 different routs to 87.237.38.200 (Tranquillity) from all over the world. Many of them fail to reach the server. All 4 working services listed for Sweden fail to find the server but only two of them go through telenor.
And regarding Iceland it looks like we're all going to a server cluster in London. Not sure if the actual servers are in London or if all traffic to ccp is routed that way.
Apart from telenor these are other popular failure points.

Oh yes, that blog is a few days old though and were regarding connections drops pre rev II. But I did send some of my tracerouts that way also earlier. But I seriously don't think anything at all will happen in the weekend. We can only hope someone gets around to look at this during next week.
If only I had some long skills in training I'd cancel my accounts and take a summer break. (Not that it's possible to cancel a subscription right now anyway) I get enough frustration from computers at work as it is.

Look at the first two failed tracerouts in my previous post. Both are from Sweden and both fail without ever going near telenor. So logic would indicate we're having more problems then just this telenor server.

Now call me a skeptic but I strongly doubt reinstalling XP will have any effect what so ever on web based traceroute services. And it is tracerouts from various computers all over the world that fails to reach 87.237.38.200. Several of them not even running PC hardware nor MS OSes. But even the failure of my local traceroute program can't possibly be related to any errors in the EVE client.
Originally by: Marus Sulla Everything looking ok .... At the moment i'm tending towards a client problem. Either with the CCP client or a PC config problem. A re-install of XP should clear that.
Like I said before might be a mix of problems is confusing everyone?

Bha, I wanted a ref to a nice proxy provider that works with EVE. Not several pointless hours of googling Or... I want someone else to do that work for me

Dmn, that was odd. Sever suddenly showed status OK and 21K+ online but connection failed and it's now back at showing Unknown And no, it's not a client issue the tracerouts clearly show that traffic doesn't get through to the server. If the tracerouts/pings show a working connection to the server and we still fail to connect. Then I'm with you, then it's probably a client issue.

Well on my support call the error were verified in their end. Quite odd if they have it working only from certain computers in the support department.

This post is only regarding Swedish users and Swedish ISPs.
I for sure have already started checking what other ISPs I can use that don't use the "services" from telenor. So far the only provider I've found in Sweden is ComHem. Anyone know if they have any issues with EVE? iirc Telia customers had a router issue causing an outage recently. How fast did they respond to it? And is it only BBB (now owned by telenor) customers in Sweden that have problems or is this router also shutting down other ISPs?
