After see all these posts from Tiller, I just have some words for you guys.
Blondieonsum is the biggest nub in the world. I dont know how you guys have a dude like him in your corp .
We caught Blondieonsum in MHC on the Harroule gate in a Cerberus. When he saw that we followed him in to gank his ass, he decided he would log before decloak.. Hooray. He logs, but he couldn't tank for more then a minute, so he popped.
Then the next day, hes coming into Harorule in a Raven, and well my corps AF gang/Recon gang is at the gate at the right time. WOW he logs AGAIN. This time he survives because we didn't have enough DPS.
In any case about 20 minutes later he logs in again, we gank his raven. BUT he LOGGED AGAIN with his pod. We managed to snuff it out though and pop him.
Fit stabs if youre going to travel. But dont freaking log on decloak. Its really lame.

Tiller probably doesn't care. IIRC, he logs to save his pod, defended his alliance mates when they dishonored a 1v1, and in his exact words "tbh a kill is a kill, honor blah, it's a game, honor has no place in eve imho.".

I have no problem with corp m8s logging if it's the right thing for them at the time..
You come here whining because you made errors that let someone escape (not enough DPS as you said), tough luck try harder.
btw the word 'LAME' is used by people who can't make the game mechs work in their favour

Posting this may try and denigrate the pilot and his mates, but for most people it doesn't,
just because it's a freaking game in which we all try to kill each other. It's the nature of the game world.

I thought logging to avoid combat or save a ship was an exploit? Not a game mechanic.

that game mechanic is there to save ppl on ctd's tiller. using a game mechanic in a way that it is not intended to save your ship is called exploiting. the only reason ccp won't classify it officially as an exploit is because it can't be proven.
logging to avoid combat is lame because it means you lack the skill to evade ppl without it.
You know i like you for many things tiller but this is 1 of a couple things you do that ticks me off. it ruins the whole game feel.

If I were CCP I'd make it so that if you lose your connection for any reason your ship stays where it is and tough luck if your ISP died.
That would once and for all settle these pathetic arguments...
Until the above fix people will log, it's just the way it is.. I never used to but to save my pod in a large blob fight I'll log everytime now. (as lag would just kill me)
Everyone else does it except a few fools who think they are 'above everyone else', why should I bother playing by some 'rule' that aint enforced, you dont get no medals for it.
I play eve as the game mechs allow me to.. if that mech allows me to shut my client to save death then so be it.
Maybe with all this logging getting out of hand CCP will actually fix this bug. (exploit if you want to call it that)

I never slated you for logging to save ur implants in that laggy fleet fight. Altho i wouldn't do it myself i can understand the reasoning for it due to lag.
But logging in normal combat because you lack the skills to evade them properly is in my opinion just lame. While your corp members do that, klepto will never be viewed as one of the best pirate corps in eve.

Frankly, If you ever disconnect, tough ****, you stay put.
People who have **** ISP's or Computers full of viruses constantly disconnecting them is not another persons problem, if they don't want to be ganked then sort out your out of game problems first.
If you hit a bad spike tough ****, if you're downloading you shouldn't be playing, if you've got a bad ISP, well, you picked them didn't you?

Its people with your approach to loggin off Tillar that ruins alot of the fun in eve. I guess youŠve never been to the south regions where all the macro people and others constantly logs. If you saw the full problem with loggin youŠd not call it a game mech:/

if you let logoffs ruin your game then you are simply going about it in the wrong way...
I put myself constantly in positions where people log off right in front of me, dont see me crying about it

About the ISP your wrong. How about someone not having enough money to get a good ISP? Your saying in other words in order to play EVE fairly you have to have real life money... Another thing, is it the persons fault the ISP is ****ty? No it's the ISP people isn't it...

although i understand the fear behind a pre-determined log off if they are flying a really expensivee ship or carrying a game changing ammount of loot, but i seen all kinds of ships loggin, some not even worth the shirt on my back type ships. Loggin is in game but sometimes its a clear display of reflex fear for no good reason. "i'm in trouble even though my ship is like under 3 mil in total value i'll log! that'll teach them!"
I know a corp mate who jumped into a camp unwittingly in a command ship and crashed, he felt bad so he logged back in and warped right back into the camp and went for a smoke whilst they ganked his ship and pod, just so he could feel better, he is not a logger. i respect that. the reason i respect that is that to him the loss of a ship is less then the loss of his repuation in game as a fair player who imposes on him self what he expects from others.
I also would not log and face whatevers coming afterall if i am smart enough to get myself into that position i should be prepared to deal with it even if means losing a ship.
Any way, i play how i see fit and so should u all, but if u get pidgeon holed as a cowardly logger then ofc u were smart enough to make that happen all by yourself!
