I guess that all depends on if you mean FA (Fountain Alliance) which was destroyed by Xanadu/BIG with backing from Evolution, Dark Empire and maybe one or two others in Easter of 2004.
Or NFA (New Fountain Alliance) that ran from Easter 2004 until treacherously stabbed in the back by their old friends in Bob when for the second time Evolution shot Fountain Corps without warning that had them set blue.
I am sure the Evol forum squad will have their slant on the above, but the fact remains Evolution not once but twice flew into fountain and shot, without warning, corps who believed they were friends.

Ah yes. I remember Easter 2004. I was in Dark Empire and I was told I needed to report for a training op. I decided to show off my shiny new Malediction. Those were the days when intys were the new ship class and a few million isk was a lot of money. So I show up in Fountain and we were actually kicking out some of the corps that were not contributing pilots to the defense of Fountain. That was my first taste of fleet action. I remember wondering as I buzzing around a megathron that we were about to destroy, "Will I suffer any splash damage when it explodes?" Lucky for me and my wallet the answer was no.
I was also among the first solo ninja miners in Fountain. Those were the days before mining barges. I tended to mine in a stabber. I also mined in a thorax and an apoc.
Dark Empire left FA just before BOB invaded. We had lost a large part of our navy to Jazz Associates and just as we had figured out how we were going to fulfill out commitment to FA we suffered a huge corp theft from our CEO, Tack. He cleaned out our wallet and most or all of our bpo's. It was made worse by the fact that Tack was a member of our guild, Dark Empire, in the MMO, Earth & Beyond. Suffice it to say, I don't like him at all anymore. He is permaKOS. That corp theft left us with almost nothing and we had to pull out of FA. I left Dark Empire to join Damage Indusries to try to stay in Fountain
Because Tack owned a large percentage of corp shares, maybe most of them. It was decided to form Imperial Guardians. I missed my friends an joined them in Imperial Guardians. Imperial Guardians now mainly lives in Empire and helps new players in the game. The older players also have their own things they do as well. I always missed the FA days and decided to move on to 0.0 and see how many times I can get podded.

Im going off my own experience when i say what i said.
I joined CELES and moved to Fountain around October 2005, which is where my experience starts. By this time, FA were pretty weak, the hardcore you speak of who jumped ship to Devolution and AtesticleUK had done that ages before, but some complete nutters carried it on for months, fighting stupid odds and winning on occasion
Most of the nutters joined TCF, the level headed went to RISE to start with, then M-M when RISE decided to become pets.

Well, they loved Evolution atleast. A thing that I don't know though is what happened to Xanadu?
As said by other most of the PvP hard core of Xanadu left and formed Mace, which later joined Dice. What was left was essentially a small PvP remainder and a lot of agent people. Way earlier the whole industrial side of Xanadu had been moved into XanCom (to protect it againt thiefs and empire wars).
After BoB took control of Fountain the remainder of Xanadu went to Germinate where they hung out with hirr (I still have fond memories of the hirr guys) and 4S (I still have not so fond memories of the 4S guys). In the end that just didnt work out and Xanadu was disbanded. XanCom was allowed to live on and is still around, doing indutry stuff for MM.
For the part about loving Evolution, that not quite true. Evolution was a founder of FA, but they left early on. The relationship was allways probelematic after that.

Dunno who Morsis Mihi are, but Morsus Mihi are not old nor the new FA. Our strong ties were forged in Fountain but we have left the rest long time ago behind.
One could say we picked the cream and we have improved alot.

MD was one of the best miners in AFDT. I assume his legacy continues in DICE. Heck, even Waagaa started as a carebear in AFHI, asking veg and I for pvp training. Oh how they grow up
Poor solwolf. I'd rep'd AFDT for 6 months at the council, and the one weekend I decide to take off and ask him to cover, we go and have a coup

I can assure you, none of the Corps who have joined RAWR, ever joined rise. no offence to rise, but in the time you speak of FA was down to maybe 3 or 4 corps still active. the former FA corps ELA, RNG, CFI had by then merged into SHIVA and were invited to join our old friends hirr, 4S, and ROA in a little thing called MORSUS MIHI. so we decided that we had had enough of the constant squabbling in the area we had made our home (*namely the d4 hophib area) we'd made it a profitable, and a *releatively safe* haven if you will, for the hordes of carebears that had fled from FA. some called us names for asking that one system out of the whole area be left for some of us pvprs to recoup losses etc.. we were called arogant etc.. later these same muppets would cry becuase we "left" them out to dry. some of them to this day think of us as inept, unmotivated, carebears, and the last good serries of insults from these people were "they are nuthing more then D2 pets!" looking at the way things seem to have transpired I have to say they were right all along

I could name names, shame corps and stuff, but would it do anything but start aflamefest of he said she said?
as I recall, a director in Director of BIG once called DMGI,ELA, and RNG corps "traitors who will turn on FA at any time" funny thing is that person is now in my corp. heh.
the others who spewed forth the venom are still around, they know who they are. they have chose the easier path to follow. and if you dig around in here ray, back maybe 6 months or so the flames were high high high in them threads. something about an alliance disbanding to join rise. and Ray? what ever happened to the last 3 Cerbs I had ordered before the BIG sales shut down?? I havent had one since. *A*W*T* 4TW

That was a thread on the XAN-COM forums that was extremely heated. The CEO(s)/Director(s) of those corps made a public attack on BIG's integrity. It was defended with venom. The Director offered to step down, his offer was declined (because we love him, and didn't really disapprove of him defending us). Water under the bridge now.

Well, BIG Sales was shut down, so all orders were cancelled. But speak to Zedone or Sin Angel, they know something you would be interested in. (You see, water under the bridge).
