now that that is read. Heres my problem. This morning I re-activate my aco****, BUT BUT BUT, I CANT ******* SELECT HOW LONG TO EXTEND IT FOR. I want to buy a 6 month subscri[tion but it re-activated for 30 days? WTF?
THis is so annoying its not even funny.

but this is odd, I go to my acccount details, and subsciption details and when I try to extend my account it says enter an eve time code.
ok but i dont have an eve time code, I want to extend with my credit card.
ok so change billing method.
Change to credit card.. Confirm change..
presto back to account managemanet page.
hmm, go to subsciption detials, and try to extend: enter a eve time code.
wtf?????????????????? rinse repeat, 5 times... I cant seem to choose the ammount of months I want to extend for/ see if my credit card information is still there or wtf is going on.

omg and my subscription interval was SET TO 3 months too and its charges me for 1 month???? WTF.
Im so ******* mad right now with this garbage. THe ony thing that shouldnt be ******* bugged is the payment option.

Ive already sent a petition, all my petition slots are full ATM though. SO I mean how long am I suppose to wait? A week? So that in a week from now they tell me, oh we cant do anything because u been playing for a week now and we cant reset the payment cycle.

I've had this problem for the last 2 weeks. Got billed for 1 month, never got any chance to pick the subscription length.
Petition sent, went back & forth a bit but still no sollution.

CCP does not have a phonenumber for customer support and you already petitioned, it may take some time before your petition is addressed and filing several petitions for the same issue will not speed up the process.

I've just had exactly the same experience, reactivated my account (stoopid card company rejected it, fixed now tho) but no options for sub length available at all 
was also on a 3 month sub and had it renew for 1 month. Yes, i've submitted a petition about it and hopefully they'll be able to resolve it soon

You're already active for a month, you have plenty of time to get billing issues sorted out. Ranting and swearing in the forums just makes you look foolish.
Yes, the petition system is slow. Ranting about it here won't make it go any faster, and you might give yourself an ulcer staying upset like this, over an extended period of time.
Let me give you a tip from someone who works in an industry where we process service tickets.
People who are polite, concise, and give me accutate information get served better then people who are rude, inconsiderate, or don't give me a good discription of the problem.
The additude you present when you file a ticket is the difference between "I'm gonna help this person out because he sounds like a decent person with a ligitimate issue" and "Oh jeez, not another one of those people. Time to put on the flame r-etardant suit."
As a person who does support for a living, I can tell you that it is extremely difficult to support a beligerant person, and even when you are doing your very best because it is required of you, The quality of service you can give drops dramatically.
So be nice. There is another human on the other end of your petition, and he doesn't like being treated like garbage any more then you do.

On a barely related note, I do wish there was a customer support phone number. When it's credit card details we're talking about, it really isn't satisfactory to just "send a petition".

It's manned by a third-party call center, like most places, so just doesn't do you any good in the end.
Back when I used to play WoW (*USED* to!), almost my entire guild (including me) was banned because some moron programmer couldn't tell the difference between 6 and and 7 days. One of their automated checks for 'suspcious activity' falsely flagged us as exploiters.
Phone calls got us nowhere. It finally took a couple huge forum posts (in violation of the rules, much like here) to get their attention, as well as about thirty other people in-game petitioning over it.
To their credit, we had the head of their support respond to our main thread, and didn't lock it. We were reimbursed for three days in compensation for one lost day of playtime. -------------- Back on topic, I can understand not having phones being manned for normal support.
1) The language barrier is far less of an issue when written as opposed to spoken.
2) A service rep can investigate and respond to a written petition faster than answering a phone, listening to someone ***** for 5 minutes, trying to calm them down for another 5 minutes before finally being able to get around to resolving the problem. Then they get to listen to the person waste another few minutes trying to get them off the phone.

Petition only = they require only 2 staff to deal with it. Telephone? = they require at least 10 and there will still be a queue.
Why pay 10 when you can pay 2? That's how real life is. And those 2 persons don't have to give their breath away. I worked at a phone company support, AND IT SUCKS. You don't have time to drink a mouth of water. On mails. Well you respond 3, you go take a bite, you come back respond another 5, talk a bit with your collegues, respond some more, etc. _________________________________

when they introduce phone support, they will charge money for it and people will whine on the forum why it is to expensive 
to OP: wtf are you petitioning all day long? i made about 2 petitions in more than 1 year. could be bad luck though, just wondering.

sorry guys I was just ****ed off. and I still am.
to answer a few questions: a) my peitions were full because I had peitioned a ship loss, and I had petioned my whole ordeal with not being able to change billing option to credit card. - which i cancelled (it took over 40 hours and no response btw). So I gotta re-make another petition now to explain the whole thing. VERY VERY ANNOYING. So as you can see it was sorta an odd time because just beofre (as in yesterday) I was all confused about why i couldn't change my billing information!(so i had to make a peition!!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)
b and this one goes out to the Dev.) this is not about doing something else. This is about my visa card number. this is about being charged for something that I do not want. I do not want a 30 day re-activation. I want a 6 month activation. tell me, when willu respond to my petition? in 50 hours again? Oh wait, my credit card has already been charged.. so what do I do? do i call visa and refute the charges then? Say no thats not what I wanted, or was scammed into paying for it? Because as far as im concerned I was scammed/tricked into the 30 day.. As far as I knew I was gonna get a drop down box to select the amount of dates. What if it auto charged me for 1 year? Then what? Id have a 150$ bill? then how long would a response take? I mean you got my money right, thats all that matters.
c) Im trusting you guys with my credit card details and my money and the whole thing just seems so shady and not to work properly. honestly, like I said, the one thign that shouldnt be bugged is.
d) I cant talk to another freaking human being. I gotta type it all out. Its very very very annoying to spend time writing this stuff - in petition form. Its actually down right madness.

as for the cost of running a few customer service reps, its the cost of running a business. Decreased profit margins for happy customers is a good investment dont you think? dont take me wrong everything has gone smothing thus far in my eve career, but still, things like this happen, and it just a bad name.

You get a whopping two.
So if you have a vanishing BPO after research delivery, and report an isk selling website's advertisement can you are already full on petition slots.

Hm just happened to me too. No option for billing period, and now I've been charged and account is active, there's still seemingly no way to change the period as far as I can see. Guess I'll petition ;/

But lets get some stuff straight first... You do have about 30d (probably more like 20d) to sort out the billing issue, but even if it took 50 days to sort out, your going to pay less for 2 monthly subs than 1 3 monthly sub.. now before you get all arrrghtastic with me just keep going...
In that 50d time they "should" be able to see your petition, and they "should" be able to manually change the stuff for you.. I dont know if they can give you $$$ back or move the starting date for the next bill (and credit you free days inbetween) but you MUST give them the chance.
Visa and MasterCard rules say you MUST give the company a chance to remedy the situation. If ccp REFUSE to remedy the situation then phone up Visa and have them refund the payment, they'll then take up the problem with CCP.
It's not really rocket science.. Just be glad you can pay by USD, as paying by Euro means you pay for the subscription, tax on your purchase, and then 16% extra to ccp for what they charge to manage the taxes :/.. (I moved to ETC's)..
Anyhow, If you ask, and WAIT for a few days then they should respond, making 200 petitions will **** someone off and likely get a petition removed (and that wont help you if it had something important)

last i checked guys, you can only have 2 petitions. So all this non-sense about having lotsa petitions is really annoying.
I dont even care any more. Honestly its not worth the hastle to write up an explanataion about what has happened. I mean clearly the Dev's know of the problem ( 2 dev posts in this thread).
and like I said what ****es me off is the fact that the payment system is messed up. the one thing that shouldnt be. CCP should remedy this problem, soon.
There have already been multiple posts regarding the very same issue Ive had/expeirenced.
all i got to say is fix it.I dont care, keep the 2$, if it helps u fix the problem then im happy.

I had the same thing but I just took it and paid for one month and set the subscription period to 6 months for the next payment.
Payment date was 6/22/2007 and my VISA account still hasn't been billed. So dno what's going on...
