Revelations II introduced a number of enhancements to the Sovereignity system, including a number of ways in which to upgrade player owned structures and their strategic uses. With the first window of upgrade opportunity rapidly approaching, more information was needed.
LeMousse to the rescue! In his new Blog, LeMousse goes into detail on more of the new features and upgrades available to those who have grabbed a corner of the EVE Universe to call their own. Upgrade paths, requirements and selective targeting are tidbits of the information presented.

I have a question about the cloning service...
If the cloning service is disabled, will people will jump clones installed in the station still be able to clone jump to them, or are they "disabled" too?

Hmm, from the improvements diagram it looks like you need to have ex. a basic factory upgrade to be able to install a standard (level 2) factory upgrade, and then later an advanced factory upgrade.
Can anybody confirm that? Or am I misreading the diagram?
However if that is the case, you would effectively only be able to upgrade 3 different areas.

Looks good, hopefully it will encourage more cooperation between small groups.
Totally off topic but it's been awhile since you guys have released some new pics of the updated graphic engine, can we get a little peak at say the phoon? Or is it not ready yet? Please... pretty please... with beer?

Just to be clear, can you, or can you not, upgrade conquerable stations? They work just like outposts in all other ways, but so far it's unclear if they can or can't.

As can currently be seen on Tranquility, station services can be targeted and shot...whoever came up with this stupid idea should be targeted and shot ________

When the h*ll do you at CCP realise that 0.0 fun comes from shooting ships, not shooting/repairing structures for hours on end......

1) So you can disable all basic services of a station and not only improvements? Seems like I got that wrong fom previous informations. May be a bit overpowered (depends on HP).
2) Nice DevBlog, but why is it as late? Shame on you! This should have been posted one month ago!!!
3) Can anybody tell us the HP¦s of the services as I don¦t have access to any outpost atm?

The only number I've got is 54 MILLION HP...... Dunno which service that is, but think it is the fitting one....

Nice, however, the services that can be shot can be problematic imo. Clearly, the first priority will be always Fitting > Repair > Clone.
So maybe there should be some upgrades to protect each of them? Otherwise a fleet can easily log in after DT, shoot services down on all stns, and attack. Way too easy and just need some of above average coordination and amount of pilots. ---

imho the blog leaves more questions open than it answears.
question 1: do different tiers of enhancements STACK uppon each other or does only the highest tier count? E.g: does an amarr factory outpost with an "advanced outpost factory platform" get +9 slots or +21 (+9+7+5) ? same for r&d slots and offices?
from the pure reading I'd think they add up because it reads "additional". otherwise the office upgrades would be totally useless since you could put up a fresh gallenty output and get a better office/cost ratio.
question2: do the different enhancements interfere with each other? e.g.: amar factory and plant platforms. do you get the two bonuses for ALL the factory slots or just the ones granted by the upgrade?
question3: just to make it clear: a tier3 improvement takes 1*tiert, 1*tier2 and 1*tier3 slot, right?
so the common, non capital outpost will basically be capped at haveing one tier2 upgrade with the respective tier1 upgrade as well as another tier 1 one?

I would like to know the specific stacking info too. The item descriptions sound like the percentage bonuses are absolute and the slot bonuses add up, but you never can tell with that.
The prices are way too high, too. Tier I is ok, Tier II depends on the upgrade, but Tier III is approximately 80 billion for a few more slots and/or 20% better time reduction on something. I'd say the Foundation/Pedestal/Monument market prices need to be cut by 4.

There's indeed some nifty things possible with upgrades, but, well, why the racial limitations. These are station types for deep space, well outside the realm of the empires. I had hoped a wee bit for being able to step out of the racial box a bit where the Improvements are concerned.
Also, maybe this is a drone region's inhabitant syndrome, but isn't the cost a bit over the top?
And yeah, Auron Shadowbane's questions are interesting.

Indeed. I was about to post the same thing. So, do the improvements of each level add up together (unless specified otherwise, like in the Caldari Lab case with research times), or does the higher level override the previous ones (i.e. "adds to base value") ?

Right now if you have your clone set to a station with a disabled cloning service and get podded, you'll basically wind up in a station way out in deep 0.0 with no ability to upgrade your clone except by using jump clones, which have a 24 hour re-use timer. You should probably make it so when a cloning service is disabled it automatically moves all clone contracts to a nearby station with an office and a usable clone bay, or at least the corp's headquarters. |

uh....booster manufacturing slots? that doesnt make sense from a prime fiction standpoint you know?
If you buy the Gallente Outpost BPO from the Federation NPC faction, while they were the ones who outlawed the creation of neural booster would mean they shouldnt have included details on how to add those facilities to one of their outposts.
And i'm not sure the drug labs are available in empire, but if they are...well they should only be sold by the pirate factions

Easy to find you say? There were a couple of bit of information that people have asked quite a few times about in the Singularity and the Doomsdays alliance channel. But they weren't really answered.
This blog was a great write up on the subject, although there are still a few technical question.
